pretty chill couch coop-sort-of game. visual art style reminds me of httyd. gameplay progression is also pretty interesting from bosses to map terrains. character selections and army preps are pretty cool.

so fun that I couldn't stop myself from playing until I got every last achievement, kind of an unhealthy obsession for a bit. I generally don't even care much for achievements but hearing multiple pop at a time was very satisfying. the game's art style, music, gameplay and everything were top tier for me and fulfilled that same craving that came from Dynasty Warriors as a kid. I also appreciate the devs for listening to community feedback and working on QoL changes, but obviously that's what early access is for. I know it's coming, but I definitely wish I had the option to save and come back mid-campaign. There were also other minor changes I would've initially liked, but I think the speed at which you could make it through a level and campaign ultimately was more important for me as an adult with generally little time to play games.
incrédible
Really fun game, great music and love the setting of it. Gameplay is fresh and while not super complex, in depth enough to allow different playstyles and builds. The three characters that are in the game at the time of writing this are all very unique from each other but still fun in their own way. However I will say Wallaces skills should get reworked since other heroes come with the ability to command their troops without needing to use a skill for it, and thus a couple of Wallaces skills end up being useless imo. Another big problem for me, though the cause of it is something I can fix and now have, is that a crash can make you lose all your progress. I was at the mission before the final boss and my game crashed, causing me to lose basically 2+ hours of my time and an amazing run. If a crash occurs there should be a save function, or at least after every boss, but just make it where you cant get that save back just by going to the menu. Make it so the option is only there for quitting to desktop so people cant abuse it, if it matters that much, which really it doesnt imo, since its a singleplayer game. TLDR: Amazing game in many aspects but the signs of early access are a bit apparent, and some QoL updates would be nice.
I have been having a fun time with Tears of Metal. Hack and Slash Roguelite that feels like a mix of Dynasty Warriors and Hades. You control a named character (of which there are 5 options, 3 in early access) to fight hoards of enemies following a dragon trying to take over Scotland. [Totally not a metaphor] I've played the demo before early access as well and there are major improvements between those two in terms of the polishing and game progression. Just about every run can net you something so they don't feel like waste. If you can grab some friends to play, it's even more fun. The game also runs on lower-end hardware; I've frequently run it on a Steamdeck with no issues. Currently only 3 out of the 5 characters are playable for the early access, but the game is well-worth the price as is. I can't wait to play with the locked characters, especially the plague-mask one. TLDR: Action Roguelike that's a ton of fun and has a great art-style to it. Well-worth the price.
Totally worth buying, playing with friends makes fun every run, without getting bored, but even in single player the experience is solid, making the great bosses even more challenging. Gameplay is fire, the music is incredible and the game feel fresh in many aspects. If the developers keep on this level, we are going to witness greatness for scotland.
Game is super fun, love being able to blast through hordes of enemies. Fighting feels pretty balanced and rewarding being able to chain off different combos.
I have really enjoyed this game. Great progression, and the learning curve feels fair for 99% of the game. My only two complaints are: The lack of being able to save a campaign midway through. These can last 40+ minutes, and I would love to start one and finish it the next day without leaving my computer on. The timed challenges, especially in the 3rd zone, can sometimes feel impossible to complete. You can be on one side of a map and have a timed challenge spawn on the other side with not enough time to make it there, or two timed challenges popping up at the same time. That is my only balancing issue. But none of these issues ruin the game for me. I am excited to see how this game progresses in its development.
The most well thought out and constructed rouge-like since ROR2. DO NOT WAIT, JUST GO PLAY IT!
