Team Z is a zombie survival/wave based FPS that just entered into early access. It takes place in 2023, three years after the Covid pandemic. The intro mentions a vaccine gone wrong and the world descending into chaos. Technically, the zombies are referred to as mole people that rose from the sewers to overtake the world. You wake up from a coma in a hospital (think 28 Days Later) and are trying to figure out what is going on. Currently, it has a lot of potential, but too many game breaking bugs to recommend. During the short time I played, the sound completely went out only to randomly come back. Some of the sound would spike loudly and it seems there's no options in the settings to regulate the dialogue, only the music and effects. There are quests to do and stories to unlock, but sometimes it is not entirely clear what you need to do. The first quest was to talk to "the little girl" which I could not find. Turns out she was murdered by zombies before I even left the hospital so I had to find cash around the level and then revive her before I could proceed with the story. At another point I picked up a sniper rifle but I would shoot it with no effect on the zombies. It seems it only does damage when a specific red icon pops up despite being able to shoot directly at the zombies without the icon. At other times I would point at the zombies and it would not let me shoot unless the red icon popped up. The final straw for me was trying to play the basketball mini-game and getting stuck in a perpetual bouncing/jumping loop animation and being unable to progress any further in the game. The game looks nice and it's clear a lot of work/love/detail has gone into it, but in its current state I can only recommend a purchase if you truly want to support the development of the game. Any attempts to play the game itself will likely lead to frustration and disappointment until these bugs are worked out. It's a cool game. If you've seen The Walking Dead - just like Rick you wake up and don't know what's going on. You discover you're in a post-apocalyptic and there's a zombie apocalypse going on. You can walk through the town and find items like guns, money, and quest items. And meanwhile it gets increasingly more difficult with stronger and stronger waves of zombies spawning every couple of minutes that you have to survive as well. There's a variety of zombies attaching you, like some sprinting zombies, rotting ones, exploding ones, and massive "boss zombies" with armor and stuff. The other characters in game are fun too, including the random catchphrases your own character has Anyways, keep in mind that this is an indie game, developed by one person, still in early access, so of course there's still some work todo, you can't expect an AAA game.
Ohhh so fun!! I am not an experience gamer at all, but i really enjoyed killing these zombies hahaha. A friend of mine is the developer's friend and he shared with me this game in the early version. Things that i love: - Using the help of the villagers to kill the zombies. Specially when you get a gave so frequently hahaa. - The big bosses are hillarious, my favorite is the big fat girl :D... she even fart!! hahhaha Of course there are things to improve. Looking forward for the next updates and see which new guns or challenges we get. To the developer: really nice idea, and incredible that you did this for yourself, lots of kudos and keep going.
Sublime juego que no recomiendo comprar ya que se encuentra totalmente bugueado. Una lastima que tras tan buen doblaje y sencilla pero eficiente jugabilidad. Haya un título tan malo.
Where to begin with this one I would say that, at least during the time i played the game, it was borderline unplayable as soon as i started the game, the whole little beginning town area was just full of zombies the little girl i was supposed to talk to? dead instantly. so i got enough money to revive her, but because you have to hold e for so long to revive someone, and the town was filled with zombies, i died while reviving her then, by the time i respawned, not only do you respawn with just about no health for some reason, she was dead again repeat this about 3 times and that's about when i decided this was a pretty unplayable game the one time i did get to finally talk to her, i couldn't select a dialog option, then i died again also, when i died, i lost the crowbar you start the game with and couldn't find it again, so i had to go searchin for a new weapon just about every time i went to interact with anything it did something else, the town was literally filled with zombies constantly so i couldn't do anything, and in general i was just getting stuck on random parts of the ground i love the graphics/style of this game, it looks great and i want it to be super cool and fun, but right now, this is pretty rough
Team Z Great Game Love it
EDIT: This review is already very long, so I will post a video. However, the developer fixed almost all of the issues within a couple of days of my original post. THANK YOU! I changed my mind about recommending this game after seeing the developer's diligence. I think there is a little ways to go still but this is definitely going to be a great game! https://youtu.be/xX8Jtytuzfw ORIGINAL: There is a lot of potential for this game and I want to like it but I think it needs some more development. However, there is one major issue that would make this playable beyond 30 consecutive minutes for me: the player character sticks to everything in the environment. This means that there are about five times the usual amount of keystrokes required to navigate through the town. There are a lot of other issues but they are not entirely game-breaking for me. Friso Van Waveren, I have made some short videos of game play that may help you. If you would like to see them, feel free to reach out and I can give you links to them. I have to give your game a thumbs down for now because, while I appreciate your effort, this is not something that people should spend money on. I get that you need money to live while you make the game but you should make this free to play for now so you can get some feedback. The jist of the game: - The world found a vaccine for COVID - It went wrong and turned people into zombies (it's cheesy but I LOVE IT!) - Dude crashes his car and wakes up with amnesia in a hospital - The hospital is in a fortified village and you are the dude - Zombies "attack" about every 6 minutes (they mostly just stand around) - You kind of do quests for the people in the village - Your goal is to find out more about yourself and the world, then escape the village Some issues: -aiming down sight does not work for any weapon (the character brings the sight to his eye but you can't line up sight posts or aim the cross hair over anything) -if you hold a weapon and look straight down, you can see the top of your arm where it should be attached to your body -the menu sounds are too loud and there is no way to turn them down -the font used for character interactions with NPCs is hard to read at times- use something cleaner, less artistic -headshots do no more damage than body shots... on zombies -there is a ramp leading up to a door that, if you get to the top of, you will fall down underneath it -you can fall through the roof of the butcher's shop and have to load a save game from there -quest items for fetch quests are very difficult to find because there is no description of them and there is a lot of stuff every where. Where are the pesticides?! I checked by the greenhouse and some other places where they would logically be but they are nowhere to be found. I play a game to have fun and progress through a story, not to spend hours finding a bottle of chemicals. -there is no real urgency to kill the zombie waves because they will basically just stand around until you enter the area to kill them -there is no penalty for NPCs being downed -the player can revive NPCs and shoot zombies simultaneously (does he have four hands?) -frequently a bullet fired should have obviously hit a zombie but nothing happens. -the player starts with all weapons but then also "finds them for the first time" while searching around the town -there is no keymap. How do I use the shovel? How do I use the rocket launcher? How do I use the nailer? I pressed most keys on the keyboard at random to see what they did and I never discovered an inventory or equipment list. I could come up with more issues for you but I think the biggest issue is the sticky environment. That's a deal breaker and makes the game next to unplayable. If you fix that, add a keymap so the player knows what buttons to press (the sign in the hospital is not enough), and fix the thing where I fire at zombies and nothing happens, you'll get the most bang for your buck for your development time. I think there is a lot of potential in this game but it needs more work to have a real audience. The only reason for someone to buy it now is if they had a time machine, went to the future and found out that this game will be a blockbuster in a couple of years, and realized that they could save the difference between blockbuster prices and what it costs now.
Make sens settings, cuz default is too high
ive been seeing the devolepment of this game and i have to say im actually pleased with the results, ofc its got its bugs but give it some time, this game has great potential. im excited to see how this game goes
