Tank go bang bang, game good! Better than World of Tanks or War Thunder.
this game is a game and its a game at that its a game game that you can game while gaming if you're a gaming gamer that games games for gaming points that you get through gaming games
Tanks doesn't feel as much like a game as it is like a library for making top-down shooter games. I became friend with the dev on discord and he's really into perfecting everything, which in this case means factoring every special tank into features and mechanisms that can be mixed and matched in the level editor (and also just the best april fools ideas ever). As of May '26 / v1.6.2 one thing I'd like to see added in the future are default builds for the built-in crusades (level packs) and also combinatoric builds where instead of purchasing bundles of skills in a playthrough it's individual skills that can be equipped and swapped

W game. Really hard but lots of fun. Wii Tanks on Steam ftw!
I'm so ♥♥♥♥ at this game but I love it
Played with a few friends including one on the opposite side of the world in Japan and it kept disconnecting. So we tried the old Minecraft Hamachi LAN trick and it worked pretty well with only some disconnections occasionally. So that's a good trick if anyone needs it. I absolutely love how much content is shoved into this game and how much of a passion project it is recreating Wii Tanks. The degree of customization puts bigger games by real studios to shame. It could use some more polish (like a textured floor/walls, better crosshair like original) and the Versus procedural level generator could use some large improvement but I find it hard to complain when the game is already such a passion project for free full of features like text chat and it's so fun. It may not have the iconic Wii Tanks music but the game scratches that itch of playing Wii Tanks on PC pretty well.
