Take Over Body -
Lord Azazel Group
Exact same as the first one. Nothing has changed, so just posting the same review for the game. A very meh puzzle game a best. The artist is JMG and it feels like they've just taken sets of their's and placed them in here. There is nothing original that I can find from this game, though I'm guessing that they have some deal worked out with the artist as they sell these pictures normally online. The game feels like it uses these sets to extend the gameplay much longer than it needs to be and makes it feel like it's dragging on forever. Overall, great artwork, poor game.
Same as the first game, the art is great again. Gameplay wise nothing special but good if you've got time to waste. Can recommend [strike]Just a minor thing: The "Winner" achievement seems to be bugged.[/strike] Even if it wasn't a bug and I'm just stupid, the dev still fixed it. Thanks dev!
Take Over Body 2, developed and published by GGaming, is a casual puzzle title that operates within a very specific and well-established niche, combining simple mechanics with a progression system centered on visual unlocks. It is designed to be immediately accessible, offering a straightforward experience that requires little time or effort to understand. Rather than focusing on innovation or mechanical depth, the game leans into familiarity, presenting a gameplay loop that is easy to engage with but limited in its ability to evolve. At its core, the game revolves around a grid-based puzzle system that involves selecting or matching elements to gradually clear layers and reveal an image beneath. The mechanics are simple and consistent, requiring only basic interaction and attention. There is no need for complex strategies or advanced problem-solving, making it approachable for players of all experience levels. However, this simplicity also means that the game offers little variation. Once the core mechanic is understood, there are no additional systems or twists introduced to deepen the experience. Each level follows a similar structure, with only minor differences in layout or pacing. The lack of meaningful progression or difficulty scaling results in a gameplay loop that remains largely unchanged throughout. While this consistency can create a relaxed and predictable rhythm, it also leads to repetition. The game does not introduce new challenges or mechanics to maintain engagement, and as a result, the experience can begin to feel monotonous after a relatively short period of play. The pacing is designed for short sessions, with levels that can be completed quickly and without pressure. There are no strict time limits or demanding objectives, allowing players to progress at their own pace. This low-stress approach makes the game suitable for casual play, but it also reduces the sense of accomplishment. Without increasing difficulty or meaningful rewards beyond completion, finishing levels can feel more like a routine process than a satisfying achievement. Visually, the game places its emphasis on stylized artwork, which serves as the primary incentive for progression. Each completed puzzle reveals more of an image, reinforcing the idea that the gameplay is primarily a means to unlock content. The presentation is consistent with the game’s theme, but it remains functional rather than immersive. There is little variation in visual style or presentation, and the game does not attempt to build a broader atmosphere or narrative context around its content. From a design perspective, Take Over Body 2 is extremely limited in scope. It does not include additional gameplay modes, narrative elements, or progression systems that might add depth or variety. The experience is confined entirely to its core loop, which does not expand or change as players advance. This makes the game easy to approach but also limits its longevity, as there is little incentive to continue playing once the initial novelty has worn off. Replayability is minimal. After completing all available levels and unlocking the content, there is little reason to return. The absence of randomized elements, alternative challenges, or competitive features means that the experience is largely static. It is clearly designed as a one-time experience, offering a brief and contained gameplay session rather than ongoing engagement. Ultimately, Take Over Body 2 is a highly focused and niche title that delivers exactly what it sets out to provide: a simple, accessible puzzle experience with a clear and immediate reward structure. It succeeds in being easy to pick up and complete, but its lack of depth, variation, and long-term appeal prevents it from standing out. For players specifically interested in this type of casual gameplay, it offers a brief diversion. For others, it is unlikely to leave a lasting impression. Rating: 6/10
