System Critical II well I loved the first one and WOW ! this has grown phenomenally into a graphical masterpiece. The number of checkpoints in the levels have been increased the reflections when looking at the mega cannon shows the surroundings and backdrops amazingly well. AND... did i mention the smoke from firing out the Charge Blast and even the Charging Shown in the Cannon just wow , whats not to love here we have all the sophistication of Megaman well in this case the twist in this is that We are playing as Cyborg 17 a Megawoman and Of course it's now in full VR glory . What a Game , If you like Intense bullet shooting mayhem , And bad dudes galore then this FPS /Platformer is for you. Don't delay you really dont know what you are missing play in Hyper Detailed environments that really highlight some amazing backdrops. The soundtrack has been purposely designed by the Dev Who has spent hours upon hours perfecting this game from the original to bring it to us in all its glory. Its fast, intense, ADDICTING, i spent over 55 hours in the first game and expect to play a whole lot more of this too. The advantages of this sequel is that you now get to choose which level you would like to play each with there own backdrops game soundtracks and ferocious baddies and they honestly don't let up. I highly recommend this game to all FPS shooting VR fanatics out there >>> now get shooting and pick your weapon of choice. They each are unique in how they are utilized and look fan-TAZ-tic. Don't delay you must try this It's so been worth the wait.
Not for everyone but pretty good game!
After completing the game I can definitely recommend.. IF you enjoy a relatively challenging game and are able to appreciate the fact it's developed by one person. For a more in-depth review https://youtu.be/ZEx9IYL_vfU In a market with way too many on rails shooters this one brings something different to the table. It's WAY easier than the first game and also does well as a sequel. Graphics aren't the best but the gameplay easily makes up for it. You'll enjoy this game if you like the old skool formula of run through a level blasting and getting checkpoints along the way before fighting a level boss. Apparently I'm the first person to complete it so someone else hurry up before I start telling everyone how I'm the world record holder for the speedrun at 6 hours
System Critical 2 is a sequel to one of the hardest games in virtual reality. This game continues the story of Cyborg 17 and as you would expect if you played the first installment is much like that of mega man. The levels are extremely challenging for a vr platformer but offers amazing reward once you do defeat them. The game runs amazingly well with tons of effects and sounds. The sequel offers new maps, new gear, and all new blasters. The games music is one of the beat things about it as each level has its own tune that is catchy and very technolike. This game is anyone mega man lovers dream and the developer poured their souls into this series. Well worth the download.
System Critical 2 gets a thumbs up from the Badger. Ive completed 4 of the levels now and have to say this is great fun. If you want a challenging Vr game with action packed shootouts, boss fights and a soundtrack that gives a nod to the 16 bit days then you have the right game. Here you will find fast paced shoot em up game play, coupled with slower paced tactical parkour style platform elements. System Critical 2 is not a game one simply plays through - no - to beat this game is going to take courage, its going to take heart. You will die a lot, somethings frustratingly so, but that should only empower you to push through and make victory all the more glorious, Each time you die, you will learn something, so you take that knowledge, you push forward and you press on ....that's how winning is done!
If you're looking for a game to just throw on the headset and go, this one is a good fit. If you like retro platformers like megaman, where shooting and jumping while on the go is the main aspect then this is for you. Your blaster is inspired by megaman and feels fun to use with the different abilities. The enemies and bosses change per level and being able to select which level/end boss you want to tackle makes it pretty nice. You get access to more blasters overall the more levels you beat. This game has a decent curve for difficulty while maintaining a fun replayability factor.
The unskippable generative AI slop cutscene made a terrible first impression. I really mean slop: a robotic voice read through a generic plot synopsis that was made by chatGPT and not proofread, over top a slideshow of "robot girl big boob blonde in space" generated images. I tried to give the actual game a chance but didn't make it past the tutorial. The bad music and AI voiceover was too much so I requested a refund. The gameplay didn't seem very good. I know it's a one person project but that's not an excuse.
If you were a fan of the old school Mega Man games, then System Critical 2 is a game for you. System Critical 2 is a game that plays like a platformer from the 90s. From the running and gunning, to the platform jumps that strikes fear deep inside of you. This game gives you a rush that I have not felt in a video game in very long time. The game sports some amazing graphics with a retro sound track, that gives you an immersive world from the past. The controls and gameplay is spot on for some really fast action. The game is packing some of the toughest gameplay I have experienced in VR, and dyeing over and over is a given. Like the old school games, you can't just pause the game and save your progress before attempting a jump or taking on a boss. The game only saves after you have finished a level and only has check points to respawn at during your run. The game is broken down into 9 levels, each with a boss at the end to battle. I have only finished 4 of the levels after putting more then 3hrs into the game. If you are looking for a easy game where you can complete it fast, this is not the game for you. This game is for the people who want to face a challenge and you will need to put in the grind to master and complete the levels. The part of the game I enjoyed the most is jumping from platform to platform. Some of the levels left my body shaking, and I had to take a break from playing to relax and pull myself together before moving on. I do not have a fear of heights in real life, but this game struck so much fear into me with some of the jumps. I even lost my balance a few times while playing it and all most tumbled over. If you are like me and find most of todays games just don't pack a challenge and you can beat them in less then a week of game play, then try this game out for sure. Prepare for some sweat soak clothes from how intense this game is. Watch my preview here, https://youtu.be/0w2grKwAT2g

SHMEGMA
A game in VR at best, the first thing I will highlight is that when I tried it I loved it and it captivated me to the point that I decided to complete it (Play without stopping) The action has a rhythm where it doesn't let you think much to advance which makes it frenetic, the The setting is really unique, the graphics are very well done and quite immersive, but something that has captivated me madly is THE MUSIC.
