large issue with AI of the summons, they make no attempt to follow or aid the player, summons seem to be un-able to cross gaps players are able to allowing them to be cheesed by longer ranged enemies.

"Sword of the Necromancer - Prologue" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Sword of the Necromancer". Sword of the Necromancer is a badly made Nintendo Switch game that the developer dumped on Steam for god knows what reason. Does my gaming rig look like a Nintendo Switch to these guys? But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Sword of the Necromancer, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Sword of the Necromancer - Prologue" too. Here's my review for the product this is advertising (so you can see why it's not worth paying money for this Nintendo Switch game on PC): https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198030784015/recommended/1243890 The purpose of this advertisement is to get you to shell out a whopping $15 USD on buying Sword of the Necromancer, and I don't recommend you do that either. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. As an advertisement, this is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's well over 130 million gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts.
I highly recommend this free demo so you find out why you will not want to bother buying the full game at any price. The game looks nice if you are into the pixel aesthetic. I am and its a good art style. That is where my praise for this game ends. The combat is clunky and slow and has zero nuance. There is no remapping the controls and the control scheme is terrible. You have four inventory slots for active equips, a consumable OR minions. If you want to pick up a consumable you have to drop a permanent item and it's gone forever. Then you use the consumable once. If you want to use any weapon other than the main sword (and you will), then you will only have two slots for either a consumable or a minion or what ever. The minions don't add much. The only close to fun build was when I had bombs or a minion in the Y slot, shield in the X slot, bow in the A slot and by default the SWORD OF THE NECROMANCER in the B slot.. why B? Because ♥♥♥♥ you, that's why. Both triggers are for dash. If you run out of stamina with a weapon its a long cool down but that is to incentive you to use one of the other slots, each one has its own cool down. Any novelty of this game you might enjoy, wears off after about 10 minutes. Also, it's a woke girl power lesbian depravity story. Perversion is not love so it is not a love story. I almost just said screw it and bought the full game on sale for 3.99, but why pay 1 cent just to take up space on my hard drive or add another game stat to my list...nah. If the story were more wholesome, just because that seems rare these days, I might have said screw it and supported the devs, but since they want to groom kids, I think I will donate that 3.99 to Trump.
pinche juego todo hermoso viva la necrofil1a digo la necromancia
It's pretty good so far
Amazing game, runs on potato, cool combat, actual necromancy, HAS PLOT, interchangeable difficulty (hard for fun)
