I mixed the colors, one by one,
Until the morning found its sun.
The hues that bled from every side,
Became a river I’d not hide.
I dipped my brush in reds and blues,
In greens and yellows, endless hues,
And through the dance of light I learned,
Each shade, each tone, forever burned.
For soldiers' garb, what shade to choose?
Not fire bright, nor twilight’s blues,
But something strong, both bold and deep—
A color fit for wars to keep.
A shade of midnight, cool as stone,
With silver sparks that softly shone,
A blend of power, calm, and grace,
A uniform that matched their pace.
But in the halls of my own mind,
A different palette I must find.
A place to rest, where peace can bloom,
Where color softens every room.
The walls must hold the dawn’s first light,
A whisper of the moonlit night.
Soft pastel greens with hints of gold,
A shade of warmth, serene and bold.
And for the clothes upon my frame,
A style that speaks without a name.
Not too loud, not too thin—
A mix of colors held within.
A touch of red to spark the day,
A dash of gray to fade away,
A blend of shades, both strong and soft,
To wear, to weave, to lift aloft.
Each hue, a story on its own,
In every fiber, brightly sown.
From deepest blacks to violet skies,
To amber sun and sapphire eyes,
The world is full of shades unseen,
A rainbow of the spaces in between.
In every choice, in every blend,
A universe of colors to transcend.
So paint the walls, wear every hue,
Let colors speak of things you knew.
And in the mix of dark and light,
You’ll find the perfect shade to fight.
For soldiers' garb, for walls so bright,
For clothes that lift the soul to flight.
The colors of your life take form,
As you create from calm to storm.
