I need to preface this review. Yes, I thought this game would be fun when I bought it. Yes, I somehow didn't expect it to be a nightmarish grind. Yes, I am a moron. Imagine playing a video game where every level is the exact same. You need to play this level 200-ish times to 100% the game. Every level takes a few more seconds to beat than the last. So while an early level takes 6 minutes, the final one will be well over half an hour. I have genuinely never experienced a less entertaining grind in a video game. If it weren't for the YouTube channels Code Blue Cam, Midwest Safety, and Asmongold, I would have never made it. What a nightmarishly grindy video game with no entertainment value whatsoever. It's all only made worse by the fact that your stockers are ridiculously slow, so you'll be constantly waiting for them to stock the shelves enough so that you can open your store without missing sales. I usually write ridiculously long reviews. But there's literally nothing else to say about Supermarket Simulator. It's a waiting simulator. The only entertainment value this supposed "video game" offers is the ability to zone out so you can watch YouTube or movies while you play it. While it may be a decent simulator game and have appeal to a certain set of gamers. It is so antithetical to what I want out of a video game that I still would not recommend this "game" to any individual alive out of my own sense of ego. 0/10 absolutely nightmarish experience for completionists such as myself.
