This Game is an amazing game with much potential i love play this as a team or even solo. The only probleme this game got is that the community and Playerbase is at the moment very small and sometime u have to queue for half an hour to find a game because nobody is playing. So guys if u read this Download it instantly that the playerbase grows and we all can have a good time together XD ( YOU WONT REGRET IT)
I started playing this game in closed beta, I was super fortunate that they reached out to me as a small streamer, I got involved and have been able to watch the progress done throughout the last year and I can honestly say this game rocks! The dev team is super active within the community and constantly working on taking in suggestions and working on improvements. If you haven't downloaded yet, do it now. Get in while everyone still sucks at the game and you can be a pro in no time. I guarantee a year from now everyone is gonna be really good so watch out!
EARLY ACCESS = Work in Progress
OK having spent 70+ hrs into Super Squad, this is my honest thoughts: The first thing that I have to say... Check this YouTube video and see the basics of the game and what energy it can bring. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t8zTAposPI Second thing is to JOIN the Official Discord, here you can speak with other players and be part of a very active community. Put forward the good and the bad stuff to the developers and help shape the games direction. They really care about how the community feel and what direction the game is to take.
How much fun?
With a full pre-made squad all on voice: The teamwork, the comms, the epic plays, the feel of achievement, pretty much everything that you'll find with all great team-based e-Sports games. There is a trooper for everyone and different abilities to learn.
Ziro's Tips
Patience is key with this game and you have to make full use with working with the community. Working in a team, use the ping system and start commanding troops on the battlefield. Listen to those who are higher rank. Don't die, go for the objectives, back off when alone. Group up.... as squads really do win battles. Examples of all the above is shown in my YouTube video. EARLY ACCESS can come in may forms, from pre-alpha to pretty much full release. This game is playable and with every update, the improvements are phenomenal. We must remember that with small resources, its just going to be a little bit slower off the mark and when its finally out of EA its going to be insane. Those core to the community will really enforce a non-toxic environment for players of all levels. One thing you need to remember is be nice and have fun with a game thats only just started.
You!
This game NEEDS a player base, which means it NEEDS you. I don't work for the developers I'm just a fellow gamer and small streamer that absolutely gets this game and has felt the epic energy that it can give. Early Access for this game is to get the game into the players hands. We are now responsible for the direction and keeping the game thriving. To just say dead game is childish, if this is not for you after the first game then just walk away and go install the next free to play game you can and never feel satisfied. Its an indie game from a small UK dev team, there is no AAA marketing budget but those players that know the game, really will make this a beast of a game. If you want to join an Awesome gaming community, be part of the forever evolving journey and help forge its future..... THEN.... Install it, Join the discord and get involved..... Oh and don't forget to bring a friend and ready up! P.S. ZiroHero Competitive events coming soon! Get your squad ready!

I was not able to start the match after 3 attemps. The game is returning to menu when the match is about to start. It takes very long time to even find 10 players for the match.
Having watched the progress of this game develop over the past year, its really has come so far! Badfox really have put in the work to get it to where it is now. Love the art style and game dynamics. Bugs get ironed out at a fast pace. Great to play with friends. All it needs is a bigger player base so get playing guys! And bring your friends. Such a fun game. 100% would recommend this
Super Squad was an attempt at making a PvP only 3D rendered top down twin stick PvP only arena shooter. The game featured cartoony/low poly/mobile app tier "art" instead of contemporary state of the art PC graphics, whether this was due to lack of talent or budget is unclear, but the resultant low quality visuals is surely a factor in the impending demise of this game. Gameplay was intended to be large scale PvP team based top down shooting. My current projections shows the game will be completely dead in 6 months. SteamDB shows the game peaked with 36 players, which is a pitiful number, and now the game has practically no players, with numbers typically fewer than 5 at any given time, not enough to create a team match. The game is in development hell, and shows no sign of completion, and has swept past the developers commitment to leave Early Access late last year. There's no apparent path or plan from the developers for this game to be completed, and given the dead player base, no incentive to do so either. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! The developers first instinct and actions were to put gamers last, with some downright toxic moves. There's an insane, insulting and completely unacceptable day 1 DLC of a whopping AAA $30 USD for an unfinished game with crappy mobile app tier low poly "art". That's either mentally unhinged levels of optimisism, or unforseen levels of blind greed from the developers there. Talking about blind greed, we can only assume Tencent money changed hands here, because you MUST create an account on the consumer hostile, industry hostile Epic Games Store. Not only that, but they also demand that you permit Tencent/Epic Games full access to your Steam profile and personal data. That's right, these guys are acting as a conduit to try force people to use spyware. That cancer can f&2k right off and never come back. Developers must be aware that when they behave unethically and support unethical and harmful businesses, there will be wholly deserved consumer backlash from their percieved antagonism towards gamers and the industry. The developers made the terrible mistake of launching a multiplayer only game in Early Access. This is almost certain to kill the game. Most gamers will evaluate a game only once. If they do so when the game is incomplete, they will check it out, then abandon it (just like the developers did). When (IF) the game eventually does get around to release, there will be no players, because the developers burned the first impressions through their faulty Early Access experience. Players who saw the game and didn't like it because it was incomplete do not come back. Multiplayer games must have a large population if they are to go "viral" and succeed, especially without single player content to fall back on. Releasing a multiplayer only game into early access kills the game population, and thus the game, before the game even launches. The developers made the fatal, lazy mistake of believing that PvP, other players, would be an acceptable substitute for doing the difficult job of adding single player level design, storytelling, NPCs and other rich aspects of designed game content to the game. As a result of this choice by the developers, the game has little to no actual interactive game content. It's a little considered fact that the vast majority of PvP only, multiplayer only games fail. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable subsititue for doing the job of game developers and building a game filled with content. PvP only games must have a huge player base for them to "go viral" and succeed. But with no single player experience to add lasting value to a game, the developers instead chose to bet against all odds that their game would "go viral" without any actual reason for players to want to play the game. Predictably, they lost this bet. Given the EGS exclusivity and anti-gamer and industry hostile stance from the developer here, it's a rare case that I'm genuinely happy this game has failed, as such a spectacular failure can only serve to educate developers on more things they must never do. However, at the end of the day, reviews must be about the games, and not the developers, no matter how toxic and harmful their behaviour is. Taking Super Squad as a game in it's own right, it's terrible, with one foot in the grave, with low quality graphics, console centric gameplay that simply doesn't belong on PC, and it has no content to speak of, so there's no way this could be recommended to gamers. PC gamers deserve better.
Very fun and engaging team based tactical shooter. I have had fun on this with friends and solo. I recommend it to anyone looking for some fun with friends. It has many characters already with unique skills and more to come!
