OOOO mama que placer. Esta divertido, aunque sin duda lo que mas destaca es jugar con amigos.
Update: I'm gladly impressed with the fast reply from the developers of this game bringing a solution to the problem I described in my earlier review (which I maintain below just for the record). I could play the game after that and it is, indeed, a very charming little game. I finished the story mode in about 30 minutos or so and it simply feels good to play, controls respond very well and it is just what I expected when I purshased this game :) Thanks for the fast reply with the resolution to the bug. Now it is working very nicely ^^ --- Previous review (before the bug fix): Posted on 21 Feb @ 12:27pm Today I tried to play this game in my lunch break, but it simply crashes loading the tutorial and you can't play the game without passing throught the tutorial xS I made a fast search on the internet looking for a fix to this problem, but couldn't find anything though. And I don't want to waste time looking for a fix to problems that shouldn't even be there at the first place. When I buy a game I just want to install it, sit and play, which wasn't the case with this one. Such a shame, because it looked like to be a nice little game ;\ If a fix to this problem is made available, please let me know.
If you are looking similar like Super smash bros, this feels like a good way to do it.This game does not deserve all the hate it's gotten. The story is good. The gameplay is good. The graphics are really good. The SOUNDTRACK is AWESOME. The effects and animation are good.
Shotguns and ultimate powers, what else ?
Super Rocket Shootout is a loud, chaotic, and unapologetically arcade-driven action game that leans heavily into the spirit of couch multiplayer mayhem. Developed by Oddly Shaped Pixels and published by Digital Tribe, the game presents itself as a fast and flashy 2D brawler where jetpacks, firearms, explosives, and pixel-perfect chaos collide. It doesn’t aim for competitive precision or deep mechanical simulation; instead, it prioritizes speed, spectacle, and the kind of disorder that thrives when multiple players are shouting at the same screen. The setup is intentionally absurd and tongue-in-cheek. The story revolves around a pair of dysfunctional twin criminals whose botched exploits spiral into a series of increasingly ridiculous battles. This narrative framing is light and self-aware, functioning more as flavor than as a driving force. The real focus is always on the action, with the story serving as a loose excuse to move players from one explosive confrontation to the next. It sets the tone early: this is a game that values humor, exaggeration, and momentum over seriousness or narrative depth. Gameplay revolves around jetpack-based movement layered onto a traditional 2D arena brawler structure. Characters hover, dash, and slam through compact stages while unleashing an assortment of weapons that range from conventional guns to more outlandish tools like teleport bombs and homing projectiles. The jetpack mechanic is central to the game’s identity, adding a vertical dimension that turns arenas into constantly shifting dogfights rather than grounded slugfests. Movement is fast and floaty, encouraging aggressive positioning and constant motion rather than defensive play. Combat is intentionally chaotic. Attacks come quickly, explosions are frequent, and the screen often fills with projectiles, effects, and environmental destruction. While there are systems for shielding, counters, combos, and special “Super” attacks, they are not always the focal point in the heat of battle. Instead, matches tend to favor improvisation and reaction over careful planning. This design makes the game immediately approachable, as new players can contribute to the chaos without memorizing complex move lists, but it can also make outcomes feel unpredictable or uneven in more competitive scenarios. The character roster offers a modest degree of variety, with each fighter bringing unique abilities and ultimate attacks that slightly alter playstyle. These differences add flavor rather than fundamentally changing how the game is played. Similarly, the weapon pool introduces variety through sheer excess rather than balance, with certain tools feeling deliberately overpowered for the sake of spectacle. This reinforces the game’s party-centric identity, where fairness often takes a back seat to entertainment. Level design supports this philosophy through compact, destructible arenas filled with hazards and interactive elements. Stages are designed to keep players close together, minimizing downtime and maximizing confrontation. Environmental destruction adds visual flair and occasionally alters the flow of a match, though it rarely introduces long-term strategic consequences. The emphasis remains on keeping fights fast and relentless, ensuring that matches rarely slow down or settle into predictable rhythms. Visually, Super Rocket Shootout embraces a colorful pixel-art style that aligns well with its arcade roots. Characters are expressive, animations are exaggerated, and effects are intentionally flashy. While the art direction may not stand out in a crowded field of pixel-based indie games, it is functional and readable, even when the screen becomes crowded with action. Sound design follows a similar approach, with punchy effects and energetic audio cues that reinforce the game’s frantic pace without demanding attention. The game truly shines in local multiplayer. With support for multiple players on a single screen, it excels as a social experience where laughter, frustration, and sudden reversals of fortune are part of the fun. Playing with friends elevates the chaos into something memorable, as unpredictable interactions and accidental victories become shared stories rather than sources of irritation. In contrast, solo play and story modes feel more limited, offering structure but lacking the same energy that comes from human opponents. Replay value largely depends on how the game is used. As a party game pulled out for short sessions, it remains entertaining thanks to its speed and unpredictability. As a long-term solo or competitive experience, its rough edges become more apparent. Combat imprecision, limited progression systems, and a lack of online longevity can make extended play feel repetitive. These shortcomings are not catastrophic, but they reinforce the idea that Super Rocket Shootout is best enjoyed in bursts rather than marathons. Community response reflects this split personality. Many players appreciate the game for what it is: a chaotic, energetic brawler designed for immediate fun. Others criticize its lack of refinement and depth, especially when compared to more mechanically precise fighting or arena games. These reactions are less about broken systems and more about expectations, as the game never pretends to be anything other than a noisy, arcade-style spectacle. Ultimately, Super Rocket Shootout succeeds most when approached with the right mindset. It is not a carefully balanced competitive fighter or a deeply structured action game. It is a celebration of excess, speed, and multiplayer chaos, built for moments when fun matters more than mastery. For players who enjoy fast, silly, jetpack-fueled brawls and have friends to share the madness with, it delivers exactly the kind of explosive entertainment it promises. Rating: 6/10

the controls could've been better and inability to aim makes the game a lot harder than it needs to be. I guess it could be better but I think I got it for free and I had a few hours of frustratingly fun experience which is enough for me.
