A comedic Story driven platformer where you work as an intern inside the game world. (You are an intern, so no payment…) You put on an enemy costume and complete tasks for the players under the sussy boss. Funny and crazy events and dialogues entertain you on every level. On each level, there are various rules to stick to pass. Such as… -Don’t kill a hero. -Refill treasure chest. -Place a certain item in a certain spot. -Drop a certain item on your death when a hero is in a certain condition. -Etc… There are fun comedic conversations that take place. It's enjoyable to fail tasks on purpose, as there are conversations for it. Many fun characters, including bosses, fellow interns, and players, await you.
■Con
The conversations in this game are fun, as I mentioned earlier. However, the text dialogues automatically proceed in real time, so I often miss them. This happens even during action-packed moments. Like being the dungeon master in an RPG, being the healer in a party instead of the hero, stuff like that. And this game turns things upside down. You are an INTERN! in a company that runs a video game. So on your first day, you get a caterpillar costume to wear and are not only responsible for letting the hero kill you and drop health if they need it but also when he is going filling in the coin slots or filling up the chest again. Without the hero ever seeing you do that or even seeing you jump... you are a caterpillar... you can't jump! In Super Intern Story you see your progress while doing your internship at this company and you get more complicated and challenging tasks the further you get. It has a lot of humor and in almost all stages you can get fired if you do your job horribly... Screwing up a little is okay, as long as you're not as bad as Jim... :P. BTW Never trust Jim.. take it from me... I have worked with him and he has bad ideas ;). While I had a lot of fun with Super Intern Story, it has very hardcore achievements. and I know I won't be enjoying trying to get all of those myself. They are just too crazy and too far out of my comfort zone. A lot of them aren't hard and are just fun. Like seeing you getting fired at every job (with chapter selection you can always go back and get fired, or if you did.. do a better job and not get fired). Or find a few hidden rooms or tricks to get around the building. However, there are a few of them that are just crazy. As an example: there are those different mini-games for every different costume, they are a lot of fun but can be challenging. In each of them you have 3 lives and most of the time you can get hit 1 or 2 times before you lose a life. After you have finished them all you get the ultra challenge option to do them all back to back with only 4 lives... this sounds doable but would already be out of my comfort zone... but then there is an achievement for finishing the ultra challenge without losing any life? :'(. I know myself well enough that that would only make me angry and hate the game. So I decided for myself not to go for those and not ruin a good game for myself while trying to finish all the achievements. If you're up for a real challenge... this might be the game for you. TLTR: I had a lot of fun with Super Intern Story; the humor is great and the game is awesome, but if you don't enjoy hardcore challenges... don't go for all the achievements in this otherwise great game.
So far the game has been rather enjoyable. Nothing too difficult. A good game to relax and still has fun on
Cute and fun and... not so easy! :) Love arts, sounds and the many ways to deal with each chapter +bonus jokes around video game industry
Incredibly fun action platformer in which you get to know the hard life of a monster. The intriguing concept immediately draws you in. You play the part of a brand-new employee who has just begun his first day on the job. The fun part? Your new position is that of a monster who gets the honor of being slaughtered by heroes. Even if you are more than capable of ending their quest, you must follow the rules and assist them in becoming a true game hero. The game’s a platformer so you won’t have to deal with complicated controls. You can attack, jump and interact, which typically entails opening or using. The main building in which the game takes place gains more floors and people as you progress through the game. You also get to wear different costumes with different abilities and meet fellow workers want to you complete a little side-quest. One of the most fun activities is a 8-bit game you get to play in the cafeteria. There are puzzle elements as well. That’s where the rules come in. Each chapter takes place in a different world with its own set of rules. As one of the game’s monsters, you have a limited time to prepare the room for the hero’s arrival. Once he’s there, you then make things difficult for the hero by hitting it a few times before allowing it to deliver the fatal blow. Of course, the hero always receives a reward for vanquishing an opponent, so you'll also need to take care of that. Furthermore, you are supposed to place things around the room to make the place more enticing. You can grab all the items you need from a hidden compartment, but you can't just give the hero anything you want. For instance, if a hero has only one heart left, you need to give him a fresh one to keep the game going. Items refresh, but wasting resources is still against the rules. Killing the protagonist is the most crucial rule you should never break. While a hero will always try again if they fail, you will eventually irritate the boss to the point where you will be fired. Breaking one rule per round doesn’t hurt, although there are exceptions. Since you’re responsible for several rooms at once, the challenge comes from room management. A hero spawns in a random room. You must let the hero loot the room and immediately prepare it for the next hero. You'll have to move around a lot because you have a small inventory and those containers aren't in every room. And there are even special items that you have to order first. If you do everything you’re told and make the boss happy, you move on to the next day. The game changes things each time you come to work. One time you’ll receive an unexpected visit from an investor and you’ll need to protect him from traps while he walks around. Or you receive help from a co-worker that takes care of coin placement for you. None of the achievements are missable. There’s a chapter select that allows you to replay everything. The only bad part is that some are really hard and almost impossible, such as the 100% accuracy in the basketball minigame.
