[h2] A Summer to Remember [/h2] [i]Summer Fling[/i] is a visual novel all about well, a summer fling. Before university starts, you invite two of your female friends to your parents' lake house. The reserved, but sweet, Yuuki, and the outgoing, funny, Saeki. After university starts, you might just never see them again, there's no time more perfect than now to do this. While the story is very predictable and cliché, it is pleasant to get to know the characters and see what they get up to on their holiday escape. The game has three routes. Two for pursuing each girl, and a special third route that can be unlocked afterwards. I really enjoyed the soundtrack, and some of the tracks felt very familiar too. The music just added to the overall tone and mood and made the reading experience more enjoyable. Overall, a really short and sweet visual novel, though I do recommend getting it whilst it's on sale due to its length.

One of early VNs from Dharker Studio. A very short romance story with several endings. The quality of the story is rather lacking. Partly due to it being so short but this does not excuse lack of character development and unimaginative writing. It's not terrible but still falls below average in my book. Several endings (five) extend the gameplay but even that barely lengthen the game. The art is about average. Lacks details and doesn't feel 'natural' but I've seen way worse than this, so it's acceptable. Number of character sprites is very limited; more emotions would be helpful. Backgrounds are ok. Music is very generic. Does not irritate but is forgettable. No voice acting. No bugs encountered. To summarise, a below average writing combined with average art and music does not allow me to recommend it. Skip it: 4/10
