Straight up some of the best multiplayer arcade shooting I've played since the gamecube and ps2 days of playing games on the couch with friends. This is what games can achieve when they stop worrying about being polished down to a personalityless shine or being monetized to hell and back. STRAFTAT is a little ugly, a little goofy, and a whole lot of fun. The weapons all handle different and take time to learn to be efficient with but that slight learning curve is exciting as you try to understand the goofy logic of what you find laying around. The maps are a wide breadth of different themes, challenges, and gimmicks. Sometimes you're falling forever down an ice slope, sometimes you're in a very tight arena, sometimes you're platforming on pillars far above an endless abyss, sometimes you're dodge cars in the road, the map list has so much variety that it keeps things fun and fresh for hours. Rounds can last seconds. STRAFTAT is a very quick game and sometimes you and your friends are moving on to the next stage before you can even comprehend what the last round had to offer. Before you can get bored with one set of weapons or one type of map you're being thrust into something new even if it's familiar. Genuinely STRAFTAT is one of the best games you can pick up for game night with your friends and its FREE. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FREE. Get it. One last thing, the movement in this game is so smooth and so fluid. It feels so good to play it's impressive.
