About
You just moved to HEDGEHOG HILLS, a small village full of ADORABLE CUTE ANIMAL CHARACTERS! You get your own HOUSE, and can visit the many places in this PEACEFUL area!
There you meet STORM THE SWAN, a ZANY and WACKY character who is always SCARED of something. STORM says there's a MONSTER in the WOODS, but surely, they're only imagining things!
Enjoy this CUTE and EDUCATIONAL 8-bit adventure on your own portable 'Data Kid Entertainment System' available in select toy stores in the California area!
STORM THE SWAN is an 8-bit style Point 'n' Click / Visual Novel Retro-Horror heavily inspired by the era of the Gameboy and children's cartoons of the 80s and 90s. You're a player for the newest children's game for a portable gaming system, but something is happening with the game (as well as the world around you) that is getting increasingly strange and scary.
Meet and befriend several cute animal characters in HEDGEHOG HILLS, live and CUSTOMIZE your HOUSE, UNCOVER deep secrets in the game and witness the collapse of your own world.
Storm the Swan is another addition to the "Data Time Software series", or "Date Time Universe".

It's a short little game that has a unique little charm. There are other games from the developer that all have a unique playstyle and I whole-heartedly appreciate those little gems as a refresh from the usual AAA and even more popular titles. Storm the Swan has a charm and deserves a playthrough or such. (For Achievement Hunters - it offers 14 easy achievements, one or two of which require a second playthrough) I easily give this a 10/10 for creativity and something to burn some time with! HONK HONK! (FYI It's free to download)
(Small spoiler warning) Enjoyed this game way more than I thought. No major jumpscares or anything really scary except for the depiction of blood & of course the darker plot. The ending was sad & managed to make me cry a little :') I really like the edition of some of the characters recognising the player if they manage to do a second playthrough.

Free weird visual horror novel
I went into it expecting scary times, but came out having sad times.... 10/10 fantastic game!
Cannot believe this is free! Had a great time and had my heart ripped out. Plays well, sounds good and the writing along with pace was perfect. I got emotionally invested in the characters of BOTH games. Impressive.

If you're looking for a horror game with: - a constant sense of unease and uncertainty - a dark plot (but a really good one) - no timing-based mechanics - CUTE characters then this is just the short lil' experience for you.
This only makes me wanna explore the ingame Universe for Date Time even more. This just hyped me up for real. It's a short about hour and a half experience. With good horror. Please play it if you're looking for something short and spooky. Especially in October. I look forward to further projects and ventures. Thanks for this small game!
It's just a cute game about cute animals, that's it. Don't worry about anything else!
Jesus Christ man :(
