About

Discover the importance of breathing during moments of stress or anxiousness.
Learn how to control your breathing to achieve serenity and calmness.
Solve a series of fun puzzles with a multitude of gameplay mechanics.
The Story Ace is a young teen who starts to feel anxious about kicking off their day at school. As they head towards the school entrance, their anxiousness begins to grow and intensify until they experience an intense panic attack. Feeling scared and overwhelmed, Ace gets closed off into a warped mind world where they now need to find a way out.
With the help of their companion Zen, Ace learns the proper timings and physical stance for the Belly Breathing technique, which they can now utilize to expel their anxiousness and colour the way forward.
Gameplay In this mind world, Ace must navigate a disjointed version of their school by performing a series of simple platforming challenges, breathing the anxiousness away, and solving an array of puzzles.
Upon entering each new section of the school, mental blockers and a lack of colour fill the surrounding area, making it difficult for Ace to achieve their goal of escaping.
By finding a calm space to center themselves, Ace can perform Life Breathing to bring colour back bit by bit and remove their mental blockers.
Use the power of controlled breath when interacting with breathing terminals to inflate and deflate large balloons, change the directional air flow of fans, and rotate platforms to move forward.
To progress to the next section, find and place large books into their proper shelves to open doors and move on to the next page of the Ace’s journey.

Best game to learn the zen technique. Great 3D platformer with cute companion to enjoy. If you are stuck on somewhere check out my walkthrough .

Just breathe, bro.
I'm minded to be harsh with this game. The premise, averting panic attacks, is not good for interesting gameplay. Panic attacks are also a rarefied form skiving that I don't hold much truck for, so we're not off to a great start here. Our guy/girl, Ace, who's presumably asexual and has adopted the moniker due to their awkwardness around chairs, has a small stiffy concealed in a coat which billows around his waist to protect his modesty; note a modesty that has thus far not prompted him to wash the ♥♥♥ out of his hair that he received from his first interaction with a floating weevil that follows him around and which seems oddly obsessed with having him close his eyes for extended periods for perfectly wholesome reasons I'm sure. The game is actually pretty well designed. You're in a school with a lot of the stuff you would expect to find there like lockers, desks, books, and Ace's personal kryptonite, the strangely appealing yet scary and intimidating chairs. You have a short intro where you're chased through hallways by a wall of black stuff and fall into a hole in the floor. Symbolically, I've got no clue what that's s'posed to mean. Afterwards, your weevil abuser teaches you how to stop and breathe, and after three rounds, at least one of you is greatly relieved. There are 4 levels, taking you through several classrooms and eventually to a library. This is a puzzle game, and a pretty good one. It uses closed doors and books in bookshelves as keys. Later you get moving platforms, are vents and windmills which serve to control things like airflow or rotation. The game ends with a big 4 lock puzzle where you need different coloured books to open side areas and eventually all 4 to leave. The gameplay is completely spoiled by the premise of stopping and breathing. After getting into a new area, rather than poke around and starting to solving puzzles, I have to find the special naturey dais, and stand still while the weevil says something sage about Krishna or whatever. It's worse when you complete a level as back at the hub, weevil makes us stop and breathe 3 times! He ought to keep it in his weevilly pants or Pfizer may want to conduct a little research into his preternatural performance. I joke about weevil saying something about Krishna as this game is incredibly light on justification for the breathing. There is no pseudoscience, psychology or even woowoo in this game. It assumes the breathing exercise is justified in and of itself - no explanation needed. My feeling when returning to the hub was excitement at seeing the next area, let down by the realisation I'd have to have Ace stand still for 60 seconds while weevil adjusted his trouser line just out of shot. It didn't feel zen, because why would it. You know what did feel zen? Getting into a flow state with the incredibly good puzzle design. I'd stride into a new area, eye up my surroundings, and just act on instinct - that part of the game is great. The part that is the 'zen' part, where I'm stood still in game with two keys held down IRL and the music does a little trill - that part sucks. This is close to the kind of game I'd buy. I'm fond of puzzle platformers with good environmental design, games like the Trine series, The Pedestrian, Limbo, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, etc. As it is, I would probably skip this game due to the character design, story, and breathing mechanic. The good is very good, the bad holds it back needlessly. So there you go, a review of a free game. Do with that as you will.
This is was a fun and endearing little story. You're a kid with anxiety(at least that's how i read it) who struggles to overcome the hectic life of school but with the aid of a cute little zen master to help you breathe through your anxiety you are able to have a good day at school. This really was a breath of fresh air!
