Still Wakes the Deep

Awesome freaking game! It didnt need more than 6-7 hours. Also for a horror story-driven game this is the perfect length, does not overstay its welcome at all. Highly recommend. Among my top favourite horror games, right there with the likes of Soma, Alien Isolation and Prey. Also much point out, the characters and voice acting in this game are god tier, never seen anything this good in many many years!

This game represents a perfect tragedy as far as I'm concerned. Not to say that the story is a surprise; you know exactly what you're getting into upon opening the game. The ending is not a secret, nor is it meant to be. But the ending still hits because the characters are so lively and engaging that the emotional beats all land like freshly topped-off dump trucks. This is due in no small part to the voice acting, all of which was superb, and obviously the writing. Beautiful all throughout. It's on the list of games I wish I could play for the first time again. Cannot recommend this game enough.

This was a great story-ish. I loved the playthrough but I hated that you don't get answers to your questions in any way. Not that there was really a way for you to get the answers but it was annoying nevertheless. Someone has got some twisted dreams around here to have thought of this plot line. You don't get a whole lot of functionality from the character, meaning you don't get to DO anything except the most basic of things, the point is to get through the story of the game, not fight anything. No puzzles either really. Go here, avoid bad thing, click button/pull lever/break this thing/grab insulin box. Again, it is about the story which you just have to finish for some reason. I'll tell you the expansion as well, not really worth the money spent. Took me an hour or so. Doesn't tell you A THING about why things happened in the main game or what the point of it all was. There was no closure, just a quick little bring back to the main game and oh no, something is still down here, let's get out. Boooooooooo.
