Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure

Fun enough as a silly little comedic action game on your own, but it really comes alive as a party game with friends.

Wow, a game about dodgeball!? Shhyeah! Ironically at the time I got into this game the dodgeball movie is playing on cable TV multiple times per day. Thankfully Stikbold! doesn't take itself too seriously either and is filled with plenty of humour. Story mode is short but sweet and can be played with a friend in Local co-op or remote-play. Both work great. There are only 12 levels but each one has 3 challenges to complete that will award you with a steam achievement once all 3 are obtained. Most of the challenges aren't that difficult so once you have exhausted the story mode there is always quick match. This is where the fun starts. Here you can have up to 4 human players local and/or remote play, and there are FFA, Teams, and even Mini games. Stikbold! is definitely more fun with friends, but single-player story mode is pretty good too. All in all, I fully recommend Stikbold!

I like playing with balls

Starts out okay, not great, but barely decent. Quickly devolves from there into repetitive boredom. There are a seemingly infinite amount of games that offer better fun for value. Save your precious time for a game more worthy of it. Me? I'm removing this from my account.

Story is very short but pretty darn fun. Gameplay is very replayable with a decent amount of levels for something of this size which is not alot but enough. My only gripe that I nearly put a negative review on this for is that your AI partner in story mode or multiplayer will randomly target and hit you. This happened in story multiple times even when there weren't any enemies present costing me the level. Definitely intentional. We are in the year 2025 and we still have great enemy AI and terrible ally AI?

Hurl the sphere! This game makes me feel like dodge ball has got to be one of the only sports that is actually "missing" from the Olympics. Its great on the Steam Deck with the 360 degree joystick movement and aim. It's awesome on split screen and controllers with your homie.

I found it to be on par with games like gang beasts and stick fight: the game, but it might not hold up as well with your group as it has a less broad audience.

Started playing dodgeball. Ended up fighting hippies, a whale, the devil, and my best friend. Didn’t know dodgeball could cause this much emotional damage — or this much joy. A short and sweet experience for solo or group play sessions. Plenty of enjoyment and manageable achievements.
