Service guarantees citizenship! It's janky, but it's pretty fun. 16 player matches against SO MANY BUGS and the game runs very fine until you have like 400 corpses on the map and you forgot to destroy them.
**Starship Troopers: Extermination** absolutely nails the feeling of being dropped into a massive, desperate battle against endless waves of bugs. The gunplay is satisfying, the battles get insanely chaotic, and seeing dozens of players working together to build defenses, complete objectives, and survive huge Arachnid attacks is incredibly fun. When everything starts falling apart and everyone is unloading into a swarm while screaming over voice chat, it feels exactly like Starship Troopers should. The base-building and class system also give the game more depth than just shooting bugs, and every match can turn into a completely different experience depending on your team. It can be chaotic, messy, and ridiculous—and that’s exactly why it’s so much fun. **Would you like to know more? Highly recommended.**
I really do hope they add more than just modifications like Weapon Perks, Upgrades, Research and more cosmetic customization than just color palette changing just to keep things interesting and captivate more players, I really love this game. Also hoping for more optimization and connection feels really laggy sometimes, but I really enjoy this, will continue to play this just hoping for more contents and optimization to come.
I have played this game a lot before Helldiver's 2. I have a strong suspicion that this game was rushed to beat Helldiver's 2 launch date. This game was good in the beginning, then the push to Unreal Engine 5 happened. Apparently no developer knew how to work with the upgraded engine. I went from ~120 FPS which was mostly stable all the way to ~50 FPS after the engine upgrade. That killed the momentum of the game and it's been dying since. Then Helldiver's 2 came out. Well the starship troopers devs saw that game and decided to copy the mechanics. They implemented mechanics no one asked for such as the limited lives. Everyone in a match shares the same pool and it forces players into the medic role. The roles need to be fun to play not forced upon a player. In conclusion, refund this game if you can. The developers have tried but it's obvious that this game is dead. I loved playing this game but after the Unreal Engine 5 switch, it is clear that this game has been declining to the point where matches take a long to time to even be created.
Only real problem is the rubber-banding, other than that it's pretty good.
Os desenvolvedores claramente incluíram bugs demais neste jogo e esperam que nós os resolvamos. Estou fazendo a minha parte. Gostaria de saber mais?
Want to know more? Please not that this kind of a limited recommendation: Starship Troopers: Extermination is a great game if you are into the Starship Troopers Universe. It captures the feeling of battles against hordes of bugs in a remarkable way and the community of players also is great. However, Starship Troopers: Extermination struggle with the fact that its developers are dedicated and genuinely come across nice, but implement things slowly and often long after they should have been. As an example, daily missions only have been added recently while similar games would most likely start out with them. There are a lot of classes and weapons, that serve different playstyles and one can level those classes as well as weapons. However, the reenlistment system the game has sets back the level of your class (but not your weapons) once you reach level hundred and agree to reenlist. A fact I found rather tedious after the second time… A further problem is that most players you will encounter are nice but the player base is small at this point. You will find games, but might have to switch servers or wait several minutes if you want to play a certain mission or type of mission. So, all in all: If you like team-based horde shooters set and/or Starship trooper you can give it a try – because as you know: Service guarantees Citizenship!
I like this game. And might not have played it as much as i should have since I bought this game at launch?... It really gives you the feeling of being part of the movie to defend against hordes of bugs... I do admit that it suffers a bit of another kind of bugs but I have not experienced them very often myself... Have I falled through the world=Yes.. once or twice in my 100 hours Have I experienced weird bug movements= Yes... But that might just be my bad latency which i suffer from in every game Other issues are more about mechanics in the game... Like the point scoring and the incentive for playing your class... Most of it just end up being a bug murder party and medics and engineers not doing their part... Could also be contributed to the chaos sometimes because the soldiers are just all over and make it impossible for engineers and medics to do their job? But I do want this game to have a chance, as the idea of this game really have a good idea and hope the devs are still working on new ideas for the future that will improve the game to become better
I stopped playing this 2.5 years ago and came back to see what's changed and it's still a buggy mess. I spent more time in the menu and alt-tabbed troubleshooting in my first game back than I did actually playing.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME AT ALL. IT IS A WORTHLESS PROFIT SINKHOLE. DEVELOPERS FROM OWI HAVE RUINED ONCE AGAIN A SMALL GAMING COMPANY THAT WANTED TO BUILD AND WELP. LOOK WHAT HAPPEN. LAGGY AS ♥♥♥♥. NOT TO MENTION WHEN IT WAS ON BETA THEY SWITCHED ENGINES LOSING EVERYONE'S PROGRESS AND HAVING TO RESTART ALL CONTENT. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO PLAY A A GAME THAT RESETS EVERYTHING YOU WORK FOR. OWI SUCKS DO NOT PLAY THEIR GAMES
