The interface IS the game. Using your keyboard in a command prompt-style, you will engage in combat with enemy spaceships, raid planets, collect warp cores, draw space cards to obtain advantages (and disadvantages) and much more.

It is an interesting game by typing command to control your startship. You will control your spacecraft to fly in the universe , equip weapons, and shoot at the enemy. This game requires you to have clear decision-making and typing speed, which is a new and different game experience. I also love the background music. It recalls my memory when I was child and played PC game like this. :)
A bizarre smash up of star trek bridge crew and typing of the dead. You need to carefully manage you ammo and prioritize between maneauvering attacking and defending, each action requiring a lengthy string to be typed perfectly. Very original concept great for booting up when you just feel like playing for a short session
Bought this game after seeing a few positive reviews. Was left extremely disappointed. To start off, the controls are awkward and opaque. Many commands you'd expect to work, do not: e.g. "fire bolt" works, but "fire bolts" does not, even though the weapon is listed as "bolts" in the UI. There is no in-game help to give you an indicator of what commands are available, you just need to try typing commands randomly until you find the right combination. The gameplay is extremely basic, with your ship just moving through the 9-spaced grid sector and firing on enemy ships when they get close enough. The presentation is ok, with the exception of part of the main menu being blurred, while everything else is rendered pixel-perfect. This is the sort of game you'd expect to find on itch priced as pay-what-you-want, not as a 10 USD full priced title on Steam.
First off the bat - I have never played anything like this before; controlling a space game with typing commands. Disclaimer: I only use Steam for the new Red Alert: Remastered, but I learned of this game on FB. You'll have to like the following to enjoy the game: 1 bit graphics and typing. You'll die a lot at first, but you will find a method to the madness and learn to use commands and when to use what weapons. I usually take out everything in a level and then raid the planet.
Usability is greatly increased with the new update, and love this game for a quick gaming fix, where most modern games easily will take away several hours of your day when you get startet, this i a nice game for som quick after work gaming. great game!
I enjoy this game a lot. I love the text based interface, and even more that the game does not require you to type fast to be good. You can really take your time, even when the enemy has been killed. I like how you can type "engage" instead of "goto warp" or "enter warp" as a nod to TNG. Some of the space battles are quite exciting - be careful with the defense satellites. They will cut you down. The graphics are very crude and will certainly appeal to a certain demographic or maybe hipsters. I do like the look of it, though it is a little rough around the edges. I guess it is that way by design...and this IS a text game to some extent. The audio is spot on, though you might want to use the "stop music"-command if you play for a long time.
First command I typed... crash. Tried again... crash. Refund please! Too bad... Really looks like something I'd like. Btw. if you think this is something you'd like (if it would work), download EGATREK for free. It's old, but it's still great.
