Klare Empfehlung an alle Bridge Crews da draußen. Energie!
Great game to play with a group of syfi fans, would always recommend this under rated game.
I've played a couple of other bridge simulators and had fun doing so - and I thought this one would be fun as well. I appreciate the fact that you don't need to install anything for the other players to join a session, and the visuals are on par - maybe better than most in this genre. Unfortunately there are other problems that I can't overlook. The biggest problem for me is the fact that it is difficult to create custom missions in the current state. With other games of this type (such as EmptyEpsion which is free) You can easily drag and drop objects and configure them on the fly. Controls are mediocre when running keyboard and mouse - though I imagine they work decent with a touch screen device. I wanted to look into this further, but would have run the risk of not being eligible for a refund. I believe this to be a project that has potential, but I can't recommend it in the current state. If these problems were solved, I would be willing to re-purchase in the future.
For fans of Star Trek or any space sci-fi this is a great game. There are plenty of games that create competition between players. This is one of a few that focuses on cooperation and teamwork instead.
Ok so I bought this game for like $70 and played for 20 min. It could be good but this is not a $70 game it is a $30 game and that's being generous. There are way better things you can get for $70 and this game is not one of them. Would not recommend at this time. I got a refund but if your interested, pay the $70, play for an hour or so to see if you like it and then get your money back and buy a fully textured detailed game.
Great cooperative game for playing with friends, either online or in person. My Favorite of the Starship Bridge Simulators. I've been playing since well before it was moved onto steam and it has been updated well and a good amount. I played in person pre-COVID and online since covid started. I'm running it at online conventions. The custom mission system is adding a lot of content in my friends group and look forward to most content creators creating missions.
Have you ever wanted to serve on the crew of the Enterprise/Orville/NSEA Protector/Red Dwarf? Starship Horizons provides you with exactly that experience! This is a cooperative, team-based game, with 6 official positions on board the bridge: Captain, Flight, Tactical, Science, Engineering, and Communications. While you don't need 6 people for a game, things get extremely difficult with less than 4 since there is so much to do. And unlike some other similar games, all consoles feel required to fly a ship successfully. Unlike similar titles, Starship Horizons runs similarly to games like Jackbox—only one person needs to own a copy and host a session, and all actual gameplay is done through web browsers. The built-in missions can be hard for inexperienced players (and experienced players alike!), but they feel very rewarding to go through, even when you know what's coming next. Starship Horizons is designed to be moddable. There is tooling for designing your own custom missions (and eventually campaigns, though that feature isn't in the game as of writing this), uploading custom models, defining custom ships/goods/weapons/etc. There is even the capability to extend the game using C#.
For a early access game it is already a quite good working bridge simulator I had no problem hosting a game, streaming my screen over discord and play with friends all over europe. If you like Sci Fi, and want to enjoy the bridge experience go for it. I am currently planning a Sci Fi Convention Set up using this as soon as we are allowed to have cons again.
I have played multiple bridge simulators and have run these at all the big conventions in the US. This game is one of the best out there. If you want to be on a starship bridge, you need only look here.
Possibly the best and most flexible bridge sim software out there.
