I bought the game the moment I received the email notification that the game has finally been released. I was so excited for this game and I really wish I could recommend this game, but man... This game has quite a few bugs that made it excruciatingly painful for me to even try to play properly. I completely understand that this game is in early access, but I feel like the devs rushed to release this game even when there are quite a few issues that makes the game unenjoyable, confusing, and uncomfortable to play. Pros: - Graphics are cute. Cons: - The English translation is pretty bad. The grammar is pretty bad. Proper capitalization isn't even being observed here. It's pretty bad that it's painful to even try to understand the instructions. I had to test out several keys to find out which key does what. I felt like I was reading a completely alien language. Some of the sentences stick to each other with no proper spacing in between. There are typos and misspelled words. - The tutorial is so...barebones. The poor English translation made it even more difficult to fully understand the tutorial. I felt like a stupid person who couldn't figure out what to do. - Some of the keybindings don't even work? Even trying to move my character around was a challenge because my character wouldn't move or when it does, it'll stop moving randomly. I have been mashing my keyboard and mouse to no avail. Even trying to place items required me to keep right-clicking several times just for it to be placed once on the floor. - UI is not user-friendly. At all. It's very confusing and weird. It's not even designed well. - At the start of the game, you get to customize your character. However, it's displaying some items that you can't even select. Why would you even include items at the start of the game during character customization, if the players can't select them in the first place??? I kept clicking on these items like a proper idiot, thinking my mouse was just glitching out. Turns out those are items you get to purchase from shops later on in the game. (The game actually doesn't tell you that during character customization.) I don't know, but this game feels like a total mess right now. This is the first time I've felt so confused and exasperated with a game that I even barely started. This game made me question the cognitive function and abilities of my brain. I was so frustrated with the whole experience that I just had to stop playing before I end up destroying my poor keyboard and mouse (and my brain cells) trying to figure out how to make everything work and to understand how to do things in game. I'll be refunding this game since I don't see myself picking it up again anytime soon with all of the issues I've experienced. Unfortunately, I do not have the patience to try the game longer from how uncomfortable and unpleasant my experience was with playing the game early on. Hopefully the devs will polish the game more. If they do, I might consider picking this game back up again in the future. All in all, playing the game (albeit with the short playtime) was a purely agonizing experience for me. I don't really write reviews that much, but this game warranted one because of how terrible my experience was with the game that I did not want other players to suffer the same way I did.
Unfortunately I can't recommnend this game yet. The graphics are very cute but the game play is cluncky and confusing. There is barely any toturial and I didn't know what I was doing. Also, the days are veeeeery long and the game doesn't let you sleep unitl 8pm and there is not much to do (at least in the beginning, I don't konw what happens later on because I gave up after 3 days). I know this game is made by a solo dev and I know it is early acces but it's just too rough and should not be out yet in that state. I'm afraid I will have to refund it for now :(

Starmoon Forest is a cozy simulation and settlement-building experience developed and published by VC Power Studio, inviting players to transform a quiet, undeveloped woodland into a flourishing agricultural and social hub. At first glance, the game presents itself as a farming simulator, but as hours pass, it becomes clear that its ambitions stretch beyond planting crops and harvesting produce. It blends elements of economic management, infrastructure development, and community-building into a layered progression system that steadily rewards patience and thoughtful planning. The central appeal lies in taking a once-forgotten stretch of land and shaping it into a vibrant destination where productivity and personal connections grow side by side. The gameplay begins with open space and limited resources, encouraging players to gradually carve out farmland and establish the foundations of a working settlement. Planting crops is more than a repetitive task; it becomes a strategic decision influenced by available space, production timing, and long-term expansion goals. As your farm grows, so does the complexity of operations. Raw ingredients can be processed into meals and goods, introducing an economic layer that pushes the experience beyond simple cultivation. Running shops, selling crafted products, and optimizing production chains create a satisfying loop where effort directly translates into visible prosperity. This sense of tangible growth—seeing barren terrain transform into structured farmland and bustling storefronts—is one of the game’s most rewarding aspects. Beyond agriculture and commerce, Starmoon Forest leans heavily into settlement development. Expanding infrastructure through roads, bridges, and building renovations opens up new possibilities for attracting visitors and permanent residents. The inclusion of hotels and other facilities suggests a broader goal of turning the forest into a destination rather than merely a farm. As new characters arrive, they contribute to the town’s life and economy, reinforcing the idea that the player is cultivating a living, evolving community. This interplay between physical development and population growth adds meaningful stakes to expansion decisions, as each improvement helps the settlement feel more alive and interconnected. The social dimension provides emotional texture to the management systems. Residents are not just background figures but characters with personalities and small narrative threads that gradually unfold. Engaging with them strengthens relationships and adds a personal dimension to the otherwise system-driven gameplay. These interactions provide motivation beyond profit or efficiency, creating a softer, more narrative-driven layer that complements the economic mechanics. While the storytelling remains light rather than deeply dramatic, it enriches the overall experience by giving purpose to the settlement’s growth and reinforcing the theme of rebuilding both land and community. Visually, Starmoon Forest adopts a bright and inviting style that emphasizes clarity and charm. The environments are colorful and readable, making it easy to distinguish crops, structures, and characters at a glance. The art direction favors approachability over realism, contributing to the game’s relaxed tone. Animations are simple but functional, ensuring that gameplay systems remain easy to manage even as the settlement expands. The gentle aesthetic pairs well with the game’s calm pacing, reinforcing its identity as a reflective and constructive experience rather than a high-pressure simulation. As an Early Access title, the game carries both promise and limitations. The existing systems demonstrate a solid foundation, but certain mechanics may feel in need of further depth or refinement. Balance adjustments, additional content, and expanded features are areas where continued development could significantly enhance the experience. Early Access also means that community feedback plays a role in shaping future updates, making current players part of the evolution of the project. For those comfortable engaging with a game still in progress, this stage offers the opportunity to watch the world grow alongside ongoing improvements. Overall, Starmoon Forest succeeds in merging farming, economic strategy, and community simulation into a cohesive and soothing management experience. Its progression loop of cultivating land, building infrastructure, and fostering relationships creates a steady sense of accomplishment that unfolds organically over time. While it may not yet offer the narrative depth or mechanical polish of long-established genre leaders, it demonstrates a clear vision centered on growth, creativity, and community. For players who enjoy shaping environments, optimizing production systems, and nurturing a settlement from humble beginnings into a thriving town, Starmoon Forest presents a charming and steadily rewarding journey.
