Stargazer Christmas

Cute, stressless game. I played for about 4 hours, but did not complete all the side quests so it has replay value.

This game is ridiculously adorable for a christmas game. I really enjoyed it - it reminds me of harvest moon on the gameboy advance SP. super cute....but can't get past the frosty forest still. Maybe a glitch with disorganized santa. but oh well. lots of fun things to do, tons of little mind game puzzles and whodunits. Buy it!

RPG Maker strikes again! This is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel JRPG ripoffs spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club weeaboo fan fiction. This is largely a joke game with a christmas theme and the "developer" provides incredibly cringey writing about his anime club neckbeard waifu. The writing is exceptionally bad. He wrote himself into the story because that's absolutely needed to reach peak cringe. Like all RPGMaker games, the technical delivery is a mess, crappy pixel "art", no widescreen support (4:3 stretched) and fixed resolution and controls, it's a train wreck. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger. Leave this terrible fan fiction in the shovelware bundles where it belongs.
