1. This was a kickstarter(One I backed.). The developers advertised and promoted a completely different genre of game(a point and click adventure game with puzzles, memorable characters, and story.) then turned around and made a side-scrolling action game with various minigames. This may not matter to you if what they've currently got appeals, but keep their behavior in mind. 2. The English translation is poor. It's tolerable, but it's very apparent. 3. I haven't really gotten to play, since upon launching the game, I got a beautiful comic-book story cinematic(as expected of developers) a recommendation to play with a gamepad(recall this was originally billed as a point and click game?) ....and....janky, laggy animated ships motionlessly shooting each other to no effect while periodically the game locked up for a moment. The starting area, you're adrift in an escape pod or something....and the game abruptly decided I could no longer move, and that my gunfire now had a range of about the nose of my own ship. The game menu didn't really work, there's no way to remap your controls, and other than the beautiful artwork, this comes across as a halfassed school project. I feel ripped off and cannot recommend this scam.
Wow this game is not what i backed on kickstarter, just like the other review said this was a scam. The first demo was amazing with the point and click and great drawn graphics. Now its just bad, so far no point and click and a puzzle with a password of "Masson", but the only place to solve it is a numerical locker with 4 inputs and another locker with hieroglyphics. Awesome dev and their response was sorry we know you didn't want this, but we can't refund it lol. I paid around 80$ on kickstarter so never backing one again unless its for a few $.

This game started with a great demo of an old school point and click adventure with great art. That's why people backed it. What was released is a pathetic and cheap game that is nothing like the demo or what was presented. It's clear they have no idea how to make a game since it mashes up different genres in a terrible way. They quickly abandoned the point and click since they realized they couldn't make it. They complained and whined several times during development about how hard making a game was and they have no money. It's not the backers fault that you can't manage a project properly. It obviously reached a point where they gave up and just wanted release something awful. Do not buy this garbage. It's only part 1 of 2 which makes it worse. Voice acting is terrible. Sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom. I hope this artist at least gets work on a real game. That is the only good thing even though they ruined Trixie. Even if you ignore the complete deception, the game alone is awful.
One of the most annoying games ever created. And yes, I'm one of those who Kickstarted this game, which originally was pitched as a gorgeously animated point-and-click adventure, but ended up being a puzzle platformer instead. I actually voice one of the characters in this game, but I will never be able to experience reaching my character in person, because this is one of the most annoying and frustrating platformers ever created. The controls are way too unprecise, and really just feel like s#¤!. I'll hope to catch a lets play if I want to hear my own performance. If someone dares to play this piece of crap game...
I'm among the disappointed Kickstarter backers who pledged to support a very different game than the one that they FINALLY shipped. This game was originally supposed to ship in October 2018. I gave up a long time ago hoping that this game would ever really happen, and in a way, I was right. Some other game happened 4 years later. I suppose I should be grateful anything ever came of my pledge, but I was barely able to make it through the introduction. Clearly, they didn't have an English-speaking person proof the text of the intro. It's astounding to me that after 4 years of excuses and vague assurances, they couldn't even take the time to make that minimal effort. The comic book-style intro graphics actually made me hold out hope for a few lonely moments that StarFlint would surprise me, and I hoped if I could get past the horrible translation. maybe the game would turn out to be enjoyable. Alas, I gave up hope of that when, after some truly jarring and awkward transitions at the end of the intro, I was dropped into an arcade-style top-down view space ship with no instructions as to what to do. Because the game suggests playing with a game controller, I gave it a try. I pushed my left stick forward, and nothing happened. Hmm. Played with the right stick. Nothing happened. Then I looked down to the bottom left of the screen and saw that moving forward was done by pulling the right trigger? Firing my ship weapons is done using the X button? Now, I'm sure the developers had their reasons to buck tradition and go with some non-standard controls, but at least give me the option to re-map them. No such luck. The controls were just uncomfortable and felt unintuitive. As I see it, this is all I could be bothered to suffer through and exited the game. There are so many games out there that I can't waste my time on one that seems to have gone out of its way to take 4 extra years to execute badly. Pro: 1. Comic book-style intro art was promising 2.Voice actors were pretty good. I could have stood to hear more of them. The sound quality was poor, with the male and female characters clearly having been recorded in different places with different conditions, but they themselves were fine. Cons: 1. Everything else
I think the game as already manage to improve a lot in 2 day, they are hyper reactive to fix the launch issues , and they even correct some part of the game to make them more fluid. The game start a little bit slowly but the gameplay keeps evolving all the way through. We start with puzzle Reflexion with a Fynn who is a bit slow , but then when you start playing trixie the game get way faster, she is very fluid, fun to play and his teleportation ball is pretty cool to use. In the end we have à Point and click part that is pretty fun. In the end it's a Good game , who deserve to be recognize as what it is, a very indie game, 35k for a 10 hour game with multiple gameplay and only One Dev. It's actually pretty impressive. They've tried to to the best they could with very complicated problem that didnt stop to cumulate. But in the end even if it's not a perfect game, (some lame moments, bugs, animations problem, translations that aren't very goog at moments) the game deserved to be bought for helping the Dev's and help them making the second part who promise great improvement , because that's the thing , the devs are listing all of the commentaries and that's always a good thing.
I backed this game on Kickstarter since I love PnC adventure games and the project looked promising. Six years later, I received my steam key and --hyped as should be--installed the finished game. I really blinked twice when I saw the first screen, stating that a gamepad was suggested. What? Why? And it was, indeed, something very much needed since the game starts as a platformer. Remember Monkey Island and those good old-school PnC games? There was a hook right at the start, a tale you wanted to incarnate. Here there's nothing of this at all. I've played this game for a decent amount of time, but I've never even gotten to the PnC part, which I've backed for. I suddenly had the urge to close it with total deception and immediately uninstalled it. This is a shame, to say the least.
I was stuck for a while due to a bug and ultimately had to re-start the game, but have completed it since. As I write this the game is still buggy but new patches are coming out frequently so perhaps it will be mostly bug-free in the future. The game is mostly a somewhat clunky puzzle platformer with a story that sometimes doesn’t make sense. Whole levels with the female character collecting important objects are totally unexplained. It makes the game feel unfinished. The quality of these levels increases to decent right before they stop appearing; both taking too long to get good and ending too soon after. The remainder of the game is a point-and-click puzzle, a strange change of genre, which is barely OK. Icons will appear near objects showing what item you need to use on them to progress, which gives away puzzle solutions. There's some more platforming to get from place to place within this area, which seems like padding, especially as the player is likely to have to go back and forth several times discovering information to figure out puzzle solutions. Some of the voice-acting, like the main character, is quite good, but other times it’s quite bad, like the female lead and several minor characters, some of whom regularly mispronounce words. The translation from the original French is often wonky and many jokes fail to land because of this. Sometimes it’s even hard to understand what is meant. Even the good voice-acting gets tripped up when the actors are talking nonsense. By the end of "Part 1" there's a small cast of heroes, but they mostly don't interact with each other and there's no chemistry between them. There are several mini-games but they generally don’t play enough of a role to feel like more than filler. Overall it’s only a little bit of fun and seems amateurish and unfinished. Given this, the base price on Steam is much too high.
After a brilliant demo and kickstarter campaign here we are we a sham of a game that bears little relation with the pitch we were hooked on. And to make matter worse it's an awfully designed game, riddled with bugs and hindered by inconsistent controller support and integration. Puzzles are awful from the starts, controls are on the same level, and the 'strategy' game is ...ugh... And the space environments are 2 planes with red light boundaries, no gravity or physics to speak off and a pointer arrow to tell you were you need to go while avoiding or blasting 'asteroids' with controls worthy of the worst vehicle minigame you can imagine (well not the worst to control just the most boring to play) The narrative ...is awful. Skipping form scene to scene, without flesh or flair. The voice acing is unremarkable and the dialog is on the same level as the rest Avoid.
This game is not StarFlint the classic 2d point and click adventure. This game is StarFynn some abomination of mismatched parts held together by 30k worth of backer money. I can not even fathom the errors the team made when making this game that led to what was released. It is almost as if they went into the unity asset store and bought every package that was on sale and proceded to smash all of them together under the guise of "more gameplay". All in all this is crazy considering unity has a great point and click asset that many people have used effectively to make full scale games for a lot less money than was scammed by these devs. This studio has managed to release a product that has not only destroyed their reputation as competent developers but also somehow they think this will allow them to gain more funds to release what they should have in the first place.
