darth jarjar needs to be added otherwise i cant complain its a banger
Pros- Good storylines. Fun combat early game. Some fun customization options. Cons- Everything outside of early game main story is unbalanced trash with enemies that take barely any damage while having enormous health pools and taking half your health in one hit. "Difficulty" in the game boils down to HP sinks and enemies that throw you into instant death pits constantly. If you die too often? Then they treat you like a baby and nerf the enemy into the ground. There is no skill involved in this game, nor strategy. It's just "click attack on repeat until enemy's enormous health pool disappears". The "fix" to this is to do late game content in groups, so basically if you don't want to play in a group you can go F yourself according to the devs. Game is also filled to the brim with microtransactions of the WORST kind. The kind that ONLY apply to ONE character. If I'm going to be paying for cosmetics, it better be unlocked forever on all characters, especially when it costs ten bucks just to get a bit of dye that DESTROYS ITSELF IF YOU TRY TO TRANSFER IT TO DIFFERENT ARMOR PIECES.

Disclaimer! I'm not particularly into MMOs and this is from someone who was essentially looking for a KOTOR3 experience - story driven RPG. This is absolutely not it. The story can be interesting at times, but the gameplay is so mind-numbingly boring that I abandoned after finishing a couple of planets (jedi knight, level 32). There's no gameplay nuance you just run around huge maps and kill damage-sponge enemies. That's literally it. As you level up you'll start avoiding enemies, because they're just annoying to fight and don't give enough exp to be worth the hassle, as unimmersive as it can get... There's some choice available during dialogue, but none whatsoever when it comes to gameplay and mission objectives, which imo is one of the main attractions of RPGs. No multiple ways to progress objectives, the same formula - fight or run past the mobs to the end-of-level boss, fight, have a convo, choose light/dark option rinse and repeat.
Fun game, Amazing story mode, Free, and a contender for best mmo. not best free mmo, best mmo.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is one of the best story-driven MMORPGs ever created. Set thousands of years before the movies, during the fascinating Old Republic era, the game benefits from one of the richest periods in the franchise's history. This is the same timeline that gave us legendary RPGs like Knights of the Old Republic, with Jedi, Sith, ancient conflicts, and a galaxy full of possibilities. Its biggest strength is the storytelling. With fully voiced quests, memorable companions, and eight unique class stories, SWTOR feels much closer to a traditional BioWare RPG than a simple MMO. Each class offers a different fantasy and a genuinely different journey, whether you want to become a Jedi Knight, a Sith Lord, a bounty hunter, or a ruthless Imperial agent. The gameplay follows a more traditional MMO formula and can feel dated today, but the amount of content, the atmosphere, and the focus on narrative make it stand out. The free-to-play model has some limitations, but there is still a lot to enjoy without a subscription. If you miss the golden age of BioWare RPGs and want to explore one of the best eras of Star Wars lore, The Old Republic is absolutely worth experiencing.
echt gutes star wars spiel
Interacting with this game is horrible and all the added "security" only makes every time I wish to play the game after being gone for multiple months a pain in the behind. On top of that getting hold of anyone from EA or Steam to assist you is neigh impossible. Decent game plagued by ♥♥♥♥♥♥ developers and publishers.
ive only played a little over 5 hours so far but i absolutely love it. it feels like the proper continuation to KOTOR 1 and 2. I just wish i had friends to play with xD
Very good game. Free to play, with PVP, PVE, and a storyline.
