DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Just mod the old game's. Aspyr have done nothing with the game since its lazy release. They have the audacity to advertise their most likely terrible upcoming remaster 'Jedi Power Battles' on their Battlefront Classic Collection page, rather then update/fix the game they have already released. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM ANYTHING ASPYR TOUCH.

Mods - Splitscreen - Controller support - 4k - If you grew up playing this on PS2, this is the new definitive experience. Not sure about the Multiplayer and I couldn't care less about that. If your intention is to play offline, I can absolutely recommend this. Mods recommended: Battlefront Legends

overall my experience has been good. the game still has it's glitches. I for one am fine that the online community isn't great(meaning lacking in those that play online in the game) because I mostly had fun playing this against the computer when I played the original. The biggest glitch i have experienced recently, which i unfortunately don't see getting fixed, is the Hero Assault game mode. the game crashes whenever i try to load a map with the game mode. which is a bummer because that is one of my favorite ways to play. it isn't a computer error either because i uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the same error happened. I hope maybe the developers see this and maybe they still care but i seriously doubt it.

[h3]Title: Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection[/h3] Summary: Sci-fi FPS collection of 2 games Personal notes: Where do I begin? This game is a remaster of two classic games, Battlefront 1 & 2 (now called Battlefront 1 & 2 classic due to the newer games having the same title). In these two games you participate in battles around the star wars galaxy, using unique characters,heroes and vehicles from the movies and extended lore. I absolutely loved the original games growing up, I remember playing the originals with my brother at a teen centre before we even owned a console/PC of our own and having a blast. When I heard they were doing a remaster of both together I was pretty excited to revisit the areas I made memories in so long ago. Revisiting these games was very bittersweet. The graphics have been upscaled but are quite similar to the OG's. The sound design also felt identical and while not terrible you can tell it's pretty dated. I did enjoy my time playing through the 3 different "campaigns", and the solo play is pretty fun if you really want to scratch that nostalgic itch. Well how about the multiplayer you ask? Sadly non-existent, the game had pretty bad server issues on launch, all the while keeping the glitches and bugs from the originals, and adding some new ones, which has caused this games population to dropping to less than the original games themselves! Add on the fact that this costs more than both of those, and you can see why it isn't well received. Achievement wise, this game isn't difficult but it is very tedious. 40/45 achievements are all class related and require you to do specific things, such as get 6 head-shots as a sniper in one life or get 4 rocket launcher critical hits on a vehicle in one life. I spent around 8 hours in the campaign and the rest of it was grinding out these levels. Thankfully you can do this offline. All things considered, this game isn't terrible and despite its new issues and population being near dead... the core mechanics that made the originals so great are still present here. Sadly, I cant recommend it over the cheaper and more populated originals made many years ago, especially if you care about multiplayer at all. I would only buy this if you plan on playing solo and revisiting the past, and even then I would wait for a sale.
