ローカル4人プレイしようとしたがフレンドも誘えないし、画面が固まってプレイできなかった。 面白そうだったのに残念。 早期なので早く改善してほしい。

Игра Square Off - это глоток свежего воздуха для любителей шахмат и инновационных технологий. Интерактивная доска, способная двигать фигуры противника, создает ощущение игры с реальным оппонентом, будь он другом на другом конце света или продвинутым алгоритмом. Особенно порадовала легкость подключения и стабильность соединения. Больше нет необходимости тратить время на сложные настройки, чтобы сыграть партию онлайн. Искусственный интеллект представлен несколькими уровнями сложности, что позволяет новичкам освоиться, а опытным игрокам – бросить себе достойный вызов. Дизайн доски выполнен на высоком уровне, она выглядит стильно и современно, а качество материалов оставляет приятное впечатление. Автоматическое перемещение фигур происходит плавно и бесшумно, не отвлекая от процесса игры. Единственным незначительным минусом можно назвать цену, но учитывая технологичность и уникальность продукта, она кажется вполне оправданной. Square Off - это не просто шахматная доска, это инвестиция в увлекательный и интеллектуальный досуг, способный подарить множество часов увлекательных партий. Рекомендую всем, кто ценит современные технологии и любит эту древнюю игру.

"Square Off" is a very poor quality failed attempt at making a "party game", which basically means "Yet another Super Smash Bros ripoff". Except of course this is much worse than Super Smash Bros in every respect, so obviously it was a complete failure. What do you do in the game? Well you control cubes that roll around, and of course rolling determines your aim, so that crappy gimmick is the big differentiator in this train wreck. Couple that with the phoned in minimalist/retro "art" and you can see why this fell in a heap. And of course it's PvP only and nobody is playing this, so it's really, completely dead. The graphics are awful... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
