Sports Paradise VR

They consist of archery, boxing, and running / jogging in an island setting. The island map is probably the best thing about this game. The visuals aren't great, but they are nice enough. Unfortunately, two of the three sports title are just bad. The boxing mini-game, where you basically just hit 3 targets on a boxing dummy over and over again, wave after wave with no challenge is the worst of the bunch. It basically looks and plays like a learn how to make your first VR game in Unreal Engine from Zenva. The archery game is only somewhat better. You basically have a target and go further and further away each level where you have to hit a score of 27 with a bullseye being worth 10 points. You reach down on the ground to pick up an arrow from the quiver set on the floor. The bow & arrow mechanic is very basic with the arrow resetting if you pull too far. The bow seems to shoot pretty straight with little arrow drop. However, it's just not as good a bow & arrow mechanic as found in other titles. Lastly, you have jogging on the island. Again, the gameplay is very basic. You just move your hands (motion controllers) up and down quickly and look in the direction you want to turn for the winding trail. You don't have to actually jog but it does make the gameplay more immersive if you do. The visuals are nice enough and the trails are long enough that it is a pleasant experience. The music isn't too bad either. The game is running on the Unreal Engine. it seemed to run fine for the most part (although I did notice some frame rate drops) on high graphical settings on my RTX 3080. You do not have teleportation or free locomotion or smooth or snap turning. The only locomotion is in the jogging via arm swing and head-gaze based turning (you have to turn in real life). I did not experience any major bugs, but some of the texts were blurry. [b]Rate 4.5/10. I would rate the boxing 2/10, the archery 4/10, and the jogging 7/10. Just bought it to try out as I am a fan of VR. If you're looking for a VR game with a nice view, soothing sound track, and some, but not too much, physical workout, I highly recommend. One thing I would like to see added in the future is a sandbox mode for the Archery. It would be nice to be able to freely choose where I could place the target, choose my distance, and choose to add obstacles. Aside from that, the boxing is realistic and the running is actually relaxing. 10/10 would recommend :)

The island and accompanying music were fairly pleasant! I got around to engage in the jogging and archery portions of the game and I must say that both of them were fun! Would recommend if you enjoy calm environments.

Gotta admit on a quick playthrough I really enjoyed the vibe of the game, music and ambience are great. The boxing and archery were fun and above all I really found the jogging pretty relaxing and enjoyable.
