This game is such a step down from It Takes Two. I see however it has received quite positive reviews, which is a little surprising to me. It's like they saw all the funny videos of couples playing the last game, where one is frolicking along while the other is fighting for their life, and they decided that they needed to remove that. There are so few parts of this game where it feels like you are let off the predetermined rails. The bulk of it is just looking for the purple/green pop up and pressing the button it tells you to press. There were maybe three moments where the platforming was actually challenging. It's also bold to present a game about authors who are fighting to make sure their ideas aren't stolen, only for them to explain in 99% of the game that the story they have just glitched into is just an idea that they worked on years ago and they know it isn't very good. Villain is so badly written. What were they thinking with that...

They were robbed on the awards... this is one of the most innovative, surprising and fun games I've played in probably 2 decades. An absolute bargain, especially when you can friend pass it with somebody on a different platform.
The game that kept on giving and giving. On par with It Takes Two and one of the best coop experiences ever made.
After playing It takes Two this is a disappointment
Absolutely awesome. Technicaly gameplay-wise progressive, mindblowing, awesome action, awesome story, good music. Definitely a must-play
The main characters are so annoying boring and lame. I have nothing good to say about them. The game is full of so many good ideas it is very impressive how boring it is when its all comes together. There is way to many chase/slide scenes. The parts where you should feel fast. You feel very slow. When you are on the motorcycle for instance you don't feel like you are going fast. Which turns it in to a boring slog to get thru. All the bosses in the game have a lot of hp which means they take a while to kill but you should never lose to them. The game could be beat by your average 5 year old. That's not really a bad thing but when the game is so easy I hope that the rest of the gameplay feels fun because you will never feel challenged in the game. The game just never finds its footing even with all the things on paper i should like. Very disappointing for a game that on paper sounds like a blast. 4/10
The Sci-fi sections are mind-numbingly boring, and Mio is written to be the most annoying person you ever met. The fantasy parts are okay, with some decently engaging puzzles. The only highlight I had when I played was the pig section, and I wished it lasted longer. 6/10, feels like a step down from the creativity of It Takes Two.
played this with my partner and we had so much fun!! the levels are incredibly well designed and creative, and the environments are stunning too. we also got rlly invested in the characters and story. 10/10 loved it!
