Space Station Invader VR

There is full locomotion and smooth turning. There are very few options in the settings. The gameplay and graphics and sounds are all very basic. Surprisingly, though, I had fun playing this game. However, I have to admit, the price doesn't exactly match the quality or quantity of content. I finished the game in 38 minutes. It ends rather abruptly with just a reset to the very beginning. Most of the fun I had in this game was from using what I call the "jet pack gun." It basically lets you jet around the space station and reach platforms that are otherwise unreachable. You can double up on the jet pack gun to reach places just a bit too far with just one gun. You also get a good variety of other guns. They all act differently, including a light saber that is fun to use for a little bit. However, there probably is no reason to switch guns once you get one that is to your liking. Enemy AI is not very good. Sometimes they will not even notice you are there and you can shoot them until they keel over. You have 2 holsters on your belt but you'll probably only need that to hold 2 jet pack guns when you want 2 shooting guns in your hands. The gun / bullet physics is not great. You're never really in danger from enemies. The only times I died was when I fell down in the cold, vastness of space with no platform within reach. This is just a mindless shooter with some platforming, but it is fun, especially the platforming, even if it's basic. Warning though, the game is not pretty too look at. There is not much variety to the scenery or enemies. Also, your default locomotion and turning are both painfully slow. The jet pack gun is the saving grace on that as you can use it to zip around at a brisk pace. [b]Rate 6/10. I do think the price is too high for what this is, but I can't deny that I had fun throughout.[/b]
