Love my personalised ad - ha! Just my kind of humour. Great fun so far. Light, easy, fun. Love the homage to Far Point Station! Feels like a mix of deep lore (or maybe I'm just old) and like I'm playing an episode of Lower Decks. Looking forward to playing more battles as well - too challenging for me just yet, but I'm going to level up my crew. Would love just a little bit more explanation on how clones work/are needed for missions and/or battle. It plays fine but I feel like I'm missing something. Maybe an optional additional explanation box in addition to the pop ups? The pop ups to get started are great - intuitive and get me where I need to. Just feel like I'd like a codex or something to dive a little deeper (while I'm waiting for my ship to arrive.
To INFINITY and BEYOND!
Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile app
Space Game: Star We There Yet? is one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free. There's only a superficial "game" here. This is a basic cash shop infested mobile app (it's even presented in 9:16 mobile phone ratio... disgustingly lazy PC port). It looks like a simple clicker/idler game, but it's not. It's just a veneer wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. The true purpose of this mobile app is to get you to hand your credit card details to the greedy mobile devs so you can buy stuff in the nasty cash shop... it's a mobile app cash harvester, and has no place in your game library. You're expected to fork over quite a lot of money to increase the rate at which you gain currency from clicking in this barely-a-game mobile trash. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 7 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. Despite not being able to finish the game, or even bother with widescreen PC formatting, the developers apparently had all the time in the world to build a working cash shop microtransaction system and financial transaction back end into the game. That shows the developers primary goal was just to set out to gouge cash from Steam gamers just like mobile devs do with mobile peasants. There's nothing more vile on Steam than this mobile greed... even the Russian asset flippers are more ethical. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Fun game, simple, needs a few more things to do as I have been playing quite a few days and still have only common crew and common chests
Really fun and addicting idle and merge game. Easy to learn but a lot of depth to pull you in. The PvP merge battles have a surprising amount of strategy to them while still being accessible. Can't wait to start going through the narrative. The art is funny and the writing is clever. Really excited to see what comes next for SPACE GAME!
Pure Clicker Prestige - None seen so far Active Play - Minor resource bonus's Visuals - Next to none on the main screen, some lets say interesting character choices. Special Mechanics - None. Cash Shop - Yes First off, this is a mobile port so all the negatives normally associated with those are still in here except for the ads for bonuses. That's replaced with the devs begging you to buy stuff. All the other tricks to keep people playing are still there like periodic missions and a plethora of in-game currencies. Secondly, and literally any other decade I wouldn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about this, but the design of all the characters are a bit...forced diverse. And by diverse I mean diverse like that new Velma Show, where you know the developers have an axe to grind because they've consumed the "white straight people bad" propaganda and the one straight white guy is the but of jokes and is canonically the one who dies the most. Gone are the days where people put aside their differences and made a show like Star Trek where it's actually diverse and no one is superior or inferior to anyone else, everyone has their issues. That's the future I would like, but it's not the future people like these devs seem to want and it shows just like in that show Velma. Thirdly, and this is the most egregious, it's just flat out boring! Sure, this makes sense on a phone, you have 5 minutes kill here or there, but for a desktop version? There's nearly nothing to do. The story sequences are kind of cringey, like 2004 teen forums random where some girl thinks she's super cool for ending her posts with "Teh penguin of dooooom!". Ugh, sends cringe up my nerves just thinking about it. Anyways, time can be better spend on any other idle game out there.
This is a really enjoyable idle/merge game, it may not for everyone since its idle - but its also free to play so give it a go for an hour and see! There's little references here and there with a bit of a story. The art and design are simple but bright and feels fresh, also space cows - you'll be in the middle of a battle and hear this sad little moo, if you know you know The pvp battles are a great way to spend time, there isn't always another person on but that'll get solved with more players, it's been interesting to see everyone's different play styles and strategies! If no one is around for pvp the practice battles are pretty good, after you get over the initial learning and figure out how everything works its easier to pick up on things (no guides is a downside that every new game has) The devs are great, they've been fast at patching up bugs and keeping everyone in the loop so no concerns there! Im looking forward to seeing how things go, especially once the player base grows!
Easy to jump into Adorable writing Enchanting art style Head-bobbing music When I click, the monies go up. I can also send peeps on goofy missions. Then I spend the monies on upgrades for my peeps. Then I practice getting whooped by a grandma with my team. Need more players for PvP cause grandma takes no mercy.
