This helped scratch a fantasy itch whilst I've had a D&D dry spell. The choices really matter and the ability to travel to the past to change outcomes has a great balance of consequence and reward that will tailor each playthrough to the personality of the player. I was very surprised to find new characters I didn't run into on my initial play through which gave it high replay factor for me The art and the resource management is on par with Spiritfarer and the engaging characters backstory and light relationship mechanics remind me of Balders Gate 3 The resource management for your knights and factions always felt fair felt with just enough challenge to keep me thinking about how to appease my kingdom and what quests should be attempted and by who Sovereign Tower is a game I will be achievement hunting in, and as a casual gamer that's high praise
This was a great little game that I didn't expect to like as much as I did. It's a talky game at heart, which usually bores me, but ST makes it work. There are so many decisions that matter - what to say to all the visitors, what kind of mission to choose, which knight(s) to send on each mission, what to outfit everyone with, when and whom to romance, which knight(s) to invite, which ones to uninvite, what to spend the kingdom's treasure on... I loved it all! Since I did so well the first time through, I don't feel much of a need to try again. But I think a sequel would be a really good idea. I'm waiting...
a real breath of fresh air, you can really notice how much love they devs have put into this game. There are so many routes and options, a bunch of replayability and all around interesting characters. 10/10 will play again
