South Park™: The Fractured But Whole™

[/h3] ༺━━━━━━━━━━✦━━━━━━━━━━༻ ✦ [b]The combat got better[/b] ✦ ◆ [b]The Fractured But Whole improves on The Stick of Truth in a lot of ways, and the combat is probably the biggest one.[/b] Being able to move around the battlefield makes fights much more interesting and gives you more options than just standing in place and trading attacks. A few encounters were genuinely challenging too, which I definitely appreciated. ༺━━━━━━━━━━✦━━━━━━━━━━༻ ✦ [b]Where's the South Park madness?[/b] ✦ ◆ Unfortunately, this is also where the game loses some points for me. [b]It's noticeably less controversial than The Stick of Truth.[/b] The humour is still there and there are plenty of funny moments, but overall it feels much more restrained and safe. The previous game had me laughing much more often and was much more willing to go completely off the rails. ༺━━━━━━━━━━✦━━━━━━━━━━༻ ✦ [b]A little extra South Park[/b] ✦ ◆ The two story DLCs are another nice addition. [b]Both are genuinely good, although frustratingly short.[/b] They don't completely change the experience, but they're definitely worth playing if you want to spend a little more time with South Park's characters. ༺═──────────────═༻ ✦ [b]Still a great South Park game, just not quite as wild as the first one.[/b] The improved combat and good story make up for a lot, but I can't help feeling that Ubisoft played it a little too safe this time.
