Good Game

Soulstone Survivors is a captivating and highly entertaining iteration on the Survivors formula. PERFORMANCE and the STEAM DECK The native version sometimes freezes after a run end and gets quite stuttery with the in-game physics. But for the most part, it is smoother than the Proton version. In fact the physics in the game usually causes slow downs and stutters in either version in the late game. It is playable on some lower settings on the Steam Deck but you will have a bad time in the late game. I would recommend playing this on a higher end PC with the Proton(Windows) version. That's how I ended up playing most of the game. THE GOOD Entertaining loop Progression and skill trees Graphics Music Mode and map variety THE WEIRD All of the characters have multiple one liners, some are decent, some are very Marvel-cringe THE BAD UI navigation and snapping - it always behaves a bit differently than what you might think No zoom in option on the large skill tree Unnecessary physics in a game that takes place on a 2D plane SUMMARY Soulstone Survivors is a lot of fun and despite its flaws, it's really hard to put down, highly recommended.
