THIS GAME MAKES ME FORGET HOW MUCH I HATE STUART LITTLE
Soulbound scratches an itch I didn't realise I had. I couldn't put my finger on why I've had so much dissatisfaction from many big games today until now. This game is in direct contrast to the overall direction of the industry. It's purely an uncompromised vision from a team with passion to create an experience. Before the PC release, I was interested but didn't quite understand why it was given game of the year until playing it. It's a rewarding experience, but not through the typical means. Ultimately the game is about building connections, this thread is woven into the story but also between players. The most satisfying thing to happen to me is struggling myself along a path for the first time to the next station, laying down a ladder to cross a river myself and for me to return the next day and see that same ladder was used and helped about 500 other people cross the river on their own journey. This is hardly touching on most aspects of the game, from the compelling world with the urge to try and make sense of what the Soulbound is, to its gear system that gives you actually useful gear to help you traverse the land easier. Overall, if you are after a chill game to kick back to at the end of the day. If you are vaguely interested in it, chances are you are going to like it. In terms of what Schmoovin Studios set out to do, it delivers in all areas. Every aspect of this game was thought out and crafted to precious and it shows. It’s an experience that was made to be experienced and not just to drain your wallet.

This game saved my life. I am 27. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and adopted our son together. They are now both 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I found myself lost and miserable. I was self destructive. I got so mad one day from everything spiraling out of my control that I punched some concrete in a moment of overwhelming emotion. That caused me to break my 5th metacarpal in my right hand... my working hand... my games hand.. the hand that I held and carried my children to bed with.. The hand I desperately needed to make sure I could continue to provide. After learning of the severity of my self-inflicted damage, I was borderline suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man with no history of depression or anxiety. I have never had fits of rage, or been one to break down and cry, but I was in a low spot that just really buried me from being able to see the light on the other side. Having nothing better to do, I searched for a game I could play, ONE HANDED while I recovered. I somehow stumbled upon this game and read some of the reviews. I decided that it had to be worth a shot... I must admit, I didn't beat the game, or play nearly as long as some of you. In fact, I may have only played this game a day or two.. With that being said, after doing so, I had a new found joy and hope for life. I was able to put behind me the pain and suffering that had been cast over me. I was able to experience other peoples joy and happiness. I was able to see the fruits of my "labor". I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ing minutes to this music long enough to realize that I was going to be okay. After coming to that realization, I turned the game off, and I went back to work. It hurt my hand like hell but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so damn sorry for myself, and I became the father I needed to be in that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving as. Today, I am close friend with my kids mother. We don't fight, or argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents, and friends. I now have 3 kids. My third child is, wait for it, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my own separation, and we just stumbled in to each others life unexpectedly. We have been in a relationship for a year now, and are very happy together. Moral of the story, you never know what life holds in store for you, and if I would have given up when all the odds were stacked against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you
"SoulBound" a very badly made 2D retro pixel platformer, yes, one of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam, and this one is far from one of the good ones. What do you do in the game? The idea behind this is convoluted... it's meant to be 2 player PvP (1v1 PvP is always a terrible idea), where one player is a ghost and the other a samurai (yet another thing that makes no sense) and the ghost has to possess... oh this is so bad it's not even worth explaining the premise for the game. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Insultingly, the developer insists that you should play this with a console peasant children's toy gamepad instead of KB+M. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're designing games for. It's the responsibility of the developer to ensure the game runs well on the platform they're selling it on, with the primary peripherals that PC gamers use. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Нужен друг рядом для игры, поэтому это игра почти не проходима

Soul
Soulbound is a 2D retro PvP platformer with a slightly dark, cartoony/fantasy theme. As a PvP platformer, the 2D platforming/brawling loop is embedded in a larger, deeper background as you must progress both in your skills and abilities and in the story itself. There are literally thousands of 2D retro platformers on Steam. Almost all of them are terrible, lazy cash grabs. Soulbound is an incredibly rare exception to this rule. It's not an asset flip or a construction kit copy + paste, it's a genuinely developed game with professional, AAA values that espouse the best gaming can offer. While the game does feature only 2D graphics, the rest of the technical execution is top notch and provides a top tier gaming experience. The game looks and plays great on almost any system. The extremely high quality of Soulbound, the deep and rich gameplay and the exemplary levels of polish and consideration for the gamer's experience make me glad to identify this as a rare exception above other 2D retro platformers, and recommend this game to gamers.
I read on Kotaku that it's better than Civ 5 with the Brave New World expansion pack.
Think it would be good if the 2 player worked
