The core gameplay loop is pretty fun as you are constantly under pressure to advanced through the levels to avoid dying by the wall behind you. Levels are short and quick and there seems to be a good amount of levels to be had. I didn't pay much attention to the story, but the gameplay is what matters in my opinion. Unfortunately, there seems to be a softlock with one of the levels an hour or so into the game. Sometimes the wall will clip throughout the entire level and if you so happen to be in the spot where the wall clips through the level, you die. It does not matter how far away you are from the wall either. It's honestly a huge oversight and I'm surprised no one caught during testing. Hopefully this can be fixed in a future update and I will change this review accordingly. UPDATE: I was able to get pass the problematic level by hugging the wall some more. This may actually be by design since it's not the first level to do this. I still think that this should be changed as it punishes realy good players by playing slower so they stay closer to the wall. Collision fixes should be enough imo.
I met these folks at comicon, the story is so cool and I am just starting but it is so reminiscent of I have no mouth and I must scream, the dream like dialogue is already so intriguing. I will happily update this as I play!
I have really been enjoying this game but there was a glitch that had me stuck outside the walls of the the level 10-12 area (the room with cats)after i had beaten level nine. I had to reset the run due to the glitch but other than that this game is smooth, has a fun game loop, and speed is a huge aspect so resetting wasn't even that bad.
