In this nostalgic point-and-click adventure, you're cast in the shoes of a detective tasked with unraveling the secrets behind a luxury yacht that mysteriously vanished from radar. From the get-go, it's clear you're no ordinary investigator: navigating treacherous waters, stormy weather, and the pitch-black night, you somehow manage to find the vessel alone and intact.
But the real mystery begins once you're onboard. The yacht is eerily abandoned, with no trace of its former passengers, except for the first "character" you meet: a talking claw. That surreal twist sets the tone for the rest of the game, which involves ridding the yacht of three evil entities that haunt it.
What really makes this game interesting is its distinct presentation. A loving homage to old-school adventure games, it uses intentionally low-res visuals. The art style appears to have been originally rendered in 3D and then put through a pixelation filter. The smaller playing field, with black borders on the sides of the screen, further mimics the look and feel of classic titles. Each scene is just slightly larger than what’s visible on the screen—though only vertically—so players will need to move their cursor toward the top or bottom edges to explore fully.
Gameplay adheres to the classic point-and-click formula. Your task is to move your mouse around and search for interactive “hotspots.” However, these aren’t visually marked, so you'll need to pay close attention to the upper right corner of the screen, where the hotspot’s name appears as your move the cursor around. Unfortunately, this feature suffers from occasional readability issues, especially in brighter environments where the text can blend into the background.
Interacting with the world is as simple as a single left-click. There's no context menu or action wheel; each hotspot has one predetermined interaction. Often, this is just a short observational line or a movement command (“To Engine Room,” for example). Occasionally, you’ll be able to pick up items, and the game handles this smartly: your character will collect anything that might be useful later, even if you haven’t encountered the corresponding problem yet.
Inventory management is smooth, although one quirk stands out. After selecting an item, you can’t simply click elsewhere to close the inventory—you must hit the "Escape" key. On the plus side, the combinations make sense, and the number of objects you carry at once is very small. In many cases, interacting with an area will give you a clear hint about what item you need or what to do next.
This is a short and fairly easy game, lasting around 1–2 hours. There are no bonuses or achievements to encourage replayability.
