it's genuinely fun. Homing attacks turn "fall off a platform" into "get launched off a platform with style," which is an upgrade I didn't know I needed. The stage remixes are a nostalgia gut-punch in the best way — City Escape but everyone's screaming and falling into lava is exactly the crossover event my inner 12-year-old ordered.

The game is fine. on the surface is can feel a bit pay to win but you really don't need to buy anything since 90% of the stuff is cosmetic stuff but the one thing that does bring it down a bit is the skills being not only difficult to earn but also having character specific skills that only work on that character, thankfully it doesn't affect me that bad since my build right now has been doing me pretty good but it is something that can be a serious problem, especially with the final rounds being ring battles. In general I wish there was more variety with the final rounds beyond just different variations of ring battles, it kind of falls into that splatoon turf war issue of everything doesn't matter until the last 5 seconds of the match, there's times where people can snowball but if people are in the same skill area it can lead to some really obnoxious losses because of that perfect layup someone had to completely screw you over at the end.

Good game to play with buddies! Although it feels like a cheap mobile game at times, I think it still looks solid for a Fall Guys inspired Sonic game.
