De los mejores juegos de carreras que he jugado en mi vida
This game has the makings of something great, but it fails in execution. I pre-ordered this game because I didn’t want to miss out on the Werehog, and I was very excited to see the return of Extreme Gear, but the more I played the more the feeling of overall gameplay dissatisfaction became apparent. The mechanics, while flashy, feel diluted. I’ve heard it described elsewhere as the cars feeling detached from the road, or the road moving under the cars rather than the cars themselves moving, and I have to say I agree. It all feels disconnected somehow. The Extreme Gear I was so excited to see back don’t control at all like they did in the Riders games; it feels more like steering a bulky car with a small 3D model. And the “crossworld” mechanic itself also feels strange; I don’t want the second third of my race to be random and completely tonally different; I much prefer the way Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed handled lap transitions. All that said, there are plenty of Sonic titles with okay gameplay that have been bolstered by a unique and engaging presentation. But this aspect is perhaps where this game drops the ball the hardest. Even more than just being arranged like every other live-service title out there, every screen feels so empty! The music has a few nice tracks but is easily one of Sonic’s weakest showings for original OST, especially the passable-at-best title theme. The game goes to great lengths to sell you on the volume of content it contains but all of it feels vapid. I mean even Team Sonic Racing and Sonic Free Riders had some kind of a story mode! The replacement of transforming vehicles with the dinky little vestigial wings and rudders also strikes me as… well… cowardly. It shows an unwillingness to commit to one of the game’s core mechanics, for reasons I can only presume are connected to their quantity-over-quality strategy when it comes to racers and vehicles. The final nail in the coffin is of course the abhorrently miscast voice acting… although at the very least that can be remedied with mods, as will continue to be the case until SEGA comes to terms with the fact that Sonic shouldn’t sound like he just wrapped up at the Over-35 bracket of the local yo-mama tournament and Shadow shouldn’t sound like an out-of-breath chainsmoker.
eu amo jogar sonic corridinha
This game genuinely rules. You get reeled in by the mystifying prospect of Hatsune Miku racing Red Angry Birds and then get hit with tense high adrenalin races with photo finishes, a really deep and interesting stat system (The cars have SIMULATED GEARS they need to switch through, during which the car can't pass power to the wheels and thus can't accelerate. different builds have different gears, meaning specific loadouts will accelerate slwoer and recover from attacks worse even though they're "supposed to" accelerate fast! That's insanity!), and tons of collectibles and challanges insentivize you to play more. Amazing game, needlessly so even. I honestly don't know why they put so much effort and detail into the sonic mario kart clone. 9.6/10.
Not enough content to justify the price, and I got the deluxe edition on sale for less than $55. Anything less than the deluxe edition must feel unimaginably bare, and this game only got a few days of good play time, and a lot of that was because I had friends over for split-screen. One of your rewards for beating all of the rivals is the most cringe song ever recorded, it's so bad it actually makes you like the game less. Numerous DLC characters have no voice lines, and the graphics are mediocre for last gen, at best. To be clear I really enjoyed this game when it came out, but the longer I go without playing and the less optimistic I get about ever coming back, the more it feels like passing-fad nostalgia bait. It's been months since I've played, and considering I got hooked on a certain kart racing Doom mod (iykyk) for literal years, it really feels like the few days to couple of weeks I regularly played this pales in comparison to an actual, formative, memorable gaming experience. If this game were released at $40-50 MSRP, included all of the DLC, and regularly went on sale, I could possibly recommend it.
