Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Bought on sale because Crazy Taxi hype. And it worked dammit, SEGA are pulling the strings on me yet again. Only Sonic racing game I have ever played before this was Sonic R on the Saturn. Yeah this is a pretty big difference overall. Long story short it's a glorified MarioKart-esc racer but with SEGA characters and tracks. AND IT'S GLORIOUS, WHY WOULD YOU DUMP 500 QUID ON A CRAPPY SWITCH 2 WHEN YOU CAN GRAB THIS SEGA GOODNESS FOR (probably) A FRACTION OF THE PRICE. MY GOD IT EVEN HAS MIKU. (I have no idea who she is) Definitely play with a controller, otherwise your left hand will shrivel up and die from all the key mashing. Also for anyone else on Linux Mint, use GE proton, just seemed to work the best for me.

Blows Mario Kart out of the water. Lots of characters. Low skill floor. High skill ceiling. Great visuals. Tons of replayability

ya solo por los mods vale la pena, pero esque el crossplay y la jugabilidad le dan 10.000 vueltas al Mario Kart. La mayoría de los mods son client sided (que solo los ve el usuario) es decir que como no afectan al gameplay son totalmente safe de usarse en carreras online, puedes hacer carreras con GOKU usando la NUBE KINTON, mientras Sonic Clásico corre a píe y Sonic usa una extreme gear. Este es el juego de carreras definitivo, y eso que aún se está metiendo DLCs cada cierto tiempo. Espero que SEGA colabore con muchas IPs y este acabe siendo el Smash Bros de los Mario Karts y sea gracias a Sonic en vez de a Mario y Nintendo.

One of the best karting games out there, there is some bad flaws like the ticket system (best way to grind those is during the festival) and the no voice acting for DLC characters but other than that its a really fun and addicting game. the online races and ranking system is pretty good honestly the best way to try out the new DLC map since they are free when doing online matches. 9/10

As a lifelong Mario Kart fan, this game is perfect. As a lifelong Sonic fan, this game is also perfect. The tracks are really awesome, the items feel really balanced, and the Crossworlds mechanic is a huge step above driving on a boring highway like in Mario Kart World. The soundtrack is really good and the racing feels so right. It's a very polished game I might like this more than Mario Kart 8 if I'm being honest. It feels a little more balanced, like the items are there of course but it takes a little more than just getting a good item to dethrone 1st place. This game is great though, I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality Marty Kart type game.
