Songs of Syx is a fantasy city-builder with vast battles simulating thousands of citizens and soldiers. Start off as a small village and build, scheme, and fight your way towards a mighty empire. The mechanics are deep and true to life, where tiny events can spiral into the collapse of kingdoms.

Stupidly complicated and perpetually underexplained. Probably missing something but it would take a bigger autist than myself to find it. Good luck....
Bought this because I like Rimworld. Not disappointed. Surprisingly easy to learn, but some things are not explained in the tutorial. Be sure to hit up the Discord for help along the way.

Game used to be chill, but for some reason brawls happen everyday and I guess the guards are there to just walk around and do nothing. No I'm not going to "Optimize" where my citizen live because I actually want my city to look like a city, not a factory line. This recent update sucked any fun I was having with the game. I like city builders, but I hate when I have to play in the most unimaginative way possible. If you want to do something similar to this game go work at an Amazon warehouse, it'll have the same vibes.
it IS the best game. it just is.
Bit of a learning curve but VERY addictive. I played my first 24hrs in 2 days over the weekend, which i haven't done with a game for a long time without getting bored. The art style is simple but in a quaint retro way. You will learn more about the game through trial and error so if a run doesn't work out the way you want it to just try again as you learn on the way, which I feel makes the game much more rewarding. My only complaint is the propensity for game crashes which is surprising for such a small game file. This however I have chalked up to early development rough edges that I imagine will be patched in later updates. The devs at this stage should include a crash reporting tool whenever the game encounters an error.
The best city builder and empire sim I have ever played. The attention to detail, and the replayability is tremendous, I highly recommend this game.
Absolutely atrocious controls and UI. Got stuck in the tutorial because I hit some button and caused crates to go like 2x5 or something, and I was never able to get it to go back. I love big strategy games and complex mechanics, but there's too many options out there for me to put up with bad UI and crappy tutorials. You can have complex mechanics deep customization without having bad UI. I can't believe this is 6 years into early access. Don't be fooled by the trailer.
Played early version, saw potential, gave it time to simmer. Came back just a week or 2 prior to this 71 release, and that thang simmered, sauted, sous vided, marinated, uhhh kabobbed It's really good. Little mad at this patch note tho: "Farting sounds toned down." Hope a fellow cultured man makes a braphog mod to fix this
