SOMA is a really immersive experience, even if it’s more of a walking simulator than a true horror game. The monster‑hiding mechanics don’t have much depth and can basically be ignored entirely if you choose to play in safe mode, but the atmosphere is fantastic. The interactivity, sound design, voice acting, and environmental detail pull you straight into the world, everything feels tactile and grounded, from picking up objects, opening doors, to operating machinery and solving puzzles, it all just feels very intuitive. What really makes the game stand out is the story though. It’s deep, uncomfortable, and genuinely thought‑provoking, making you question identity, reality, and what it actually means to be you. It's something that will stick with you long after you finish the game. So yeah, I highly recommend it, even if you’re not into horror, just play in safe mode, and you'll still get the full experience, just without the stress. Absolutely worth playing.
