A nice game with Japanese voice acting and good design. Puzzles are a bit challenging though and the only issue that I remember was the writing in blood red on the walls being Japanese with no translation for English speakers. Game is a library sim for the most part too and the story is a tad bit silly since without spoiling too much it involves someone wanting to steal your eyeball like its orochimaru from Naruto wanting the sharingan lul. I wish the story was a bit more fleshed out since at least for me it was very hard to tell what's up between those to chicks and who to trust maybe I missed it but overall I enjoyed it https://youtu.be/OmJMA0wPsIQ

This game surprised me with how uncomfortable it made such a quiet place feel. It focuses on atmosphere and silence rather than jump scares, which makes it a good choice for players who are new to horror games. The slow pacing gives you time to adjust and build tension naturally, and the game trusts your imagination to do most of the work. It’s short, simple, and quietly unsettling in a way that stays with you after you finish. I’m looking forward to seeing how the developer expands on this style in future projects.
From "Librarian Simulator" to "What is going on" to "What is this question" to "Damn, I'm smart" to "This Puzzle is Dumb" to "Oh wait, I am dumb" to a roller coaster of emotions

The Mundane Before the Madness
The game kicks off as a straight-up librarian simulator. You're chasing students out after hours, putting books back where they belong, sweeping floors—pretty basic stuff. But that's the point. It sets the whole vibe and locks you into this school atmosphere before things get sussy.
Stranger Things Get Strange, huh
As days go by, you got more librarian duty and more unnatural events start unfolding. The game slowly reveals the mystery and lore around your character, and honestly? It's compelling. You want to know what's going on.
Unexpected Popularity Arc
The game has two characters. definitely the highlight of the game for me—Yui and Yamashita—who actually want to be your friend. It's a nice touch that lets you experience what feeling popular is like, even if it's just in a creepy school library game. I would like a plushie of both of them as merchandise one day.
Homework Sessions Hit Different
There are homework segments where you answer questions, and if you get them all right? You feel genuinely smart. It's like proof that all that knowledge you picked up growing up actually paid off. Yes, Mitochondria is the powerhouse of cell" . JK (Pun intended). They do not ask that in this game.
Puzzles That Don't Overstay Their Welcome
The puzzles are simple but fun—nothing overly complex. You can solve them in under 5 minutes and feel clever about it. The developer's basically sharpening your brain without making it feel like work. Though sometimes you may feel over confident and frustrated, and then you get it. IF you still do not get it, maybe this game is not for you
No Jump Scares, Just Pure Unease
This game is as uneasy as waiting in line at the cashier for your mom when she runs off to get an additional item that she left out. You know something is coming, but you do not know what is it. But actually, it was just you all along. Huh... As tons of reviews mention, there are zero jump scares. If you're into unsettling Japanese school settings with creepy, eerie vibes all the way through, this nails it. Hate cheap scares? You should definitely try this. 哎朋友!解谜的时候提示一点给!我的脑子,蚂蚁一点。 不过呢配音很舒服,剧情也不错,很符合日式恐怖的小游戏。
In short, Solitary in the Library is a short and sweet horror game that takes around an hour to complete. With a cleverly designed plot that will have you doing few more playthroughs just to understand everything. The price tag being around $3 USD, this is a steal or an entry level horror game for anyone who wants to start out. In long and SPOILER warning, there's 5 days in the game where more or less you will be doing the same thing, but each day something different happens until day 5 where everything collapse in onto 1 of the 3 endings in the game. The gameplay loop is very simple: You pick things up, put them in places in order to progress. There are puzzles throughout the game, and there's only one that I never really like which is the 8-puzzle in the safe (but also thanks to the game, I developed a personal strategy to work on the puzzle in the future.). There's also a chase scene, but that's about it. The environmental detail is also really good, to the point it felt like I am actually a student in a school in Japan working as a librarian, a civilian going to a Japanese convenient store, as well as a Japanese teenager living in a Japanese home. The game is short, but the dedications the developers put into the details is anything but. The horror? It is not a jumpscare fest, nor is it The Grudge/Chilla's Art level of horror. You can call it "lite", but I would call it more down to earth as there are supernatural forces in play, they will influence you to do bad things or teleport you psychologically to another dimension to hopefully trap you there, but they couldn't manifest a physical form to stab you with a knife. That's why I said in the beginning that this game is an entry level horror game for anyone who wants to get into the genre. The story is simple but well written where the twist is in the middle of the playthrough, out of nowhere, and it stunned me for a couple of second. It is not bloody nor a jumpscare, but you as the audience watching it unfold would like to know what will that character do now? There's also a lot of hints and foreshadowing to help you understand some of the things that were not well or outright explained. However, despite the praise, I do feel like the characters in game can have more personalities behind them instead of just being a set piece for us the player to guess over who is the bad guy. They have characters, but it is pretty shallow. For example, I actually wants to see what the conversation is like between Yamashita and the MC after the MC was almost drown by Yui and are walking home together. Because you cannot expect me to believe Yamashita didn't escort the MC home after that, and weren't talking to her while escorting her. In conclusion, the game is short but sweet. The fun gameplay loops and puzzles, the amazing environmental details, and simple yet intriguing story had me wanting more. Although the characters I felt need more developments put into them, I am looking forward to what the developer has installed for us in their next game.
玩了一个小时 没碰到一个恐怖的场景 太磨叽了 目前好评是它有配音 剧情一个小时的时候还不知道讲的什么 每天都重复做事 多令人崩溃
