Sofia's Dark Fantasies — Season 1: Episodes 1 & 2

This is another AVN that i wish steam had a different review system for. I'm more or less completely neutral on this one. Visually this AVN is excellent. The female models are are really well done and attractive, some of the best i've seen. AI enhancement is used which does create a few issues sometimes with facial expressions and the eyes in some scenes, but nothing huge. there are a few animated voice scenes and movements. they're ok, for me they add nothing to the game but again, they don't take away from it either. Story and premise are also ok, and there is a replay gallery with i think should be standard for all AVN's. The NSFW scenes are long and pretty well done, although the wheel feature is a little oddly placed and probably not necessary, What really takes away from the game for me are the male models. The MC is super model quality, successful, and gives high class vibes, yet she has fantasy's about an elderly hobo and the gas man who looks like a temu version of the guy from King of Queens? And the husband?.... i understand the trophy wife angle, but the MC also seems to be successful in real estate and and influencer, so why doesn't she just leave? Plus with all the beautiful women around her there is no girl/ girl fantasies or scenes? Like i mentioned earlier there is a replay gallery, but there are no scenes worth replaying imho. all in all i can't say it's bad, but i can't say it's good either. would i recommend it? no. would i tell someone not to play it? also no. It's not yet complete, maybe it's just a slow start.... what takes away from the AVN for me is mostly the male models and

Este juego tiene pros y contras, pero lo recomiendo porque están demostrando una voluntad de ir haciendo mejor cada nuevo capitulo. Esto juego ha utilizado la IA en su desarrollo, con todo lo bueno y malo que este recurso da. Lo mejor del juego son sus personajes y su trama. Pero tiene algunos diálogos que parecen muy artificiales y poco trabajados. La protagonista tiene dos tendencias: buena esposa o corrupción. Hay elecciones criticas que inclinan hacia uno u otro lado. Estos afecta a la historia y afecta a las escenas que se desbloquean. Las animaciones gráficamente están muy bien, pero son muy inconexas con las escenas que la rodea, este es un efecto de lo que proporciona ahora mismo la IA para crear animaciones. Hay fallos ocasionales en las imágenes, como que los personajes de las escenas creadas con IA miran a donde no correspondería. El juego tiene galería y avance automático. LA traducción es correcta. Le faltaría subtítulos en todas las escenas aminadas que por limitaciones de la IA son poco más que un personaje diciendo una frase breve. Las escenas son correctas, pero muy mejorables, en ocasiones están muy bien, pero en otras la IA elige una paleta de colores o proporciones extrañas y que rompen la inmersión en el juego. Está muy bien que apuesten por la IA como herramienta, pero creo que necesitan aún mejores herramientas de IA y un trabajo de pulido humano para darle una mejor cohesión y que no parezca en ocasiones sólo una sucesión de escenas apiladas una detrás de otra. El juego no está acabado, se está desarrollando y cada capitulo parece mejor que el anterior. He jugado hasta el capítulo 2.

Die Grafik ist gut, nicht zu bestreiten. Man kann zwischen zwei Routen wählen. Corruption und Brave Ehefrau. Das ist ein Plus. Aber: Aber die Animationen der Beschreibung beziehen sich nicht auf die nicht jugendfreien Inhalte sondern eher auf alle Animationen. Nach jeder animierten Szene schaltet der Bildschirm kurz auf schwarz, was den Spielfluss erheblich stört. Die männlichen Charaktere sehen nicht wirklich gut aus. Alles in allem keine Empfehlung. Ich hatte mir mehr erwartet.

a mi parecer, me gustaba mas cuando no tenias que elegir la escena entre un grupo de imagenes, aunque es verdad que cuando te sale para seleccionar entre los 6 imagenes, puedes elegir mas tiempo cual seguir viendo, pero le quita fluidez a la escena,... me gusta mucho el realismo en las imagenes, no tanto que los personajes no empatices con elos, y se vean mas superficiales o demasiado alejados de la realidad,.. pero en definitiva, estoy esperando a que salga la nueva temporada

Hello, This is my honest review on Sofia's Dark Fantasies. This review concerns both episode 1 and 2. I already played two runs : path Veil App, path Good wife and I'm planning to play a balanced path. [h1] About esthestics [/h1] I alternate between a stunning and a frightrning experience. Stunning because it is a visually awesome game, I thought it was a movie. It also seems that the deveoppers masters AI tools to enhance graphics. Frightening because the line between reality and fiction becomes blurred. During episode 1, there is a button to toggle between 3D and AI, but it seems not working or unavailable for episode 2. It also shows that not all the characters have been treated equally : Sophia has the best treatment : no matters if it's in 3D or AI enhanced, sofia is still the same Other characters like Savannah : there are light differences between 3D and AI enhanced on face design, or hair. Nothing to worry about tough. On the other hand, I think there are much more differences on characters like Gigi or Tonya : there are much more differences between 3D and AI enhanced on face design, hair, eyes, clothing, more angular characters... AI does enhance quite a lot here Finally, for Veronica or men in general, I preferred not use the 3D button, because of very angular designs, eyes quite invisible, textures problems.... I also found out that nails were a bit too brown on every characters. On episode 2, I enjoyed the scene selector half disk. A nice addition ! I could not say if there is an enhancement between episodes 1 and 2 regarding 3D, because the 3D/AI toggle button was unavailable. About fluid (mechanics and flow), I would say it's not completely realistic, when I compare it to characters treatment. I am hopeful that things will improve in the future I might also be mistaken, but I think Sofia's butt is too big (for me) and her breast is bigger in the 3D static render than in AI enhanced renders or animated sequences. [h1] About writing and sounding [/h1] It depicts a strong woman, living in a difficult universe where pretence are mandatoty. Episode 1 is setting the environment, episode 2 is way darker and the plot thickens I found there were litlle clumsinesses. These clumsy moments are very noticeable during scene transitions. It feel like scenes are glued to each other, without noticable link. It's lacking fluidity If it is your first game, then you managed quite well. Keep on with it ! Also, it seems NSFW scenes are quite the same, and doesn't change much between path. Talking about paths. My first run was a Veil App path. On final scene on the taxi, I save my game just at the beginning and then I chose all answers according to the path I previously chose. A popup message appears to tell me the Veil App path is opened. I reload this last save but I chose only Good Wife path answers. So the popup appears... and tells me the Good Wife path is now opened. Is it a normal behaviour ? Does the choices previoulsly made are taken into account ? I also do not understand the role of the videos. They are well done, but what's the point of playing a video and then reshowing the same scene with static renders. It is possible to include subtitles in the video to avoid reshowing scenes ? Videos also have editing issues : it often close in a middle of dialog. I have noticed there were no sound in the NSFW scenes. It is normal ? I tried various sound settings, without success. [h1] About side stories [/h1] I only played the drunk on control story. This is a sequence of images story, but the ginger character has various representation : sometimes an innocent lady, sometimes a femme fatale, sometimes a manga-style lady. Her breast can vary between pictures : sometimes bigger, sometimes smaller She can be too thin (the ribcage is sometimes visible too prominently) or too musular or just fine. [h1] Final thoughts [/h1] Would I recommand Sofia's Dark Fantasies ? It depends. If I base my judgement only on episode 1, it would have been a no, because nothing really happens in this episode. A few NFSW scenes and a lot of dialog. If I base my judgement on both episodes, it would be a yes but. I do think Sofia's Dark Fantasies has great potential, even if the plot was slow to get going. Even if there are clumsy moments. Even if there is a use of AI, characters are not treated the same way. The game has default, but I think deveoppers take into account remarks, and try to improve with every episode since now. I'm glad to see that the gameplay and the plot are heading in the right direction. That's a good point. I'm interesting in knowing how does Sofia will evolve in her world. Hope this will continue with episode 3 until the end ! Before ending, I have a few questions/remarks (or perhaps ideas). Would there be different NSFW scenes and/or Sofia's apparence (makeup, clothes, talking...) change regarding the chosen path ? I read (I can't remember where) there would be 15 episodes. Do you have an estimated roadmap ? I noticed the day ends at 2:16 : when you look at the clocks, I (always ?) see this time (office, restaurant, cafeteria...). Is there an hidden message ? Last but not least, what's the hell about memory requirements (minimum : 24G, recommanded : 32G) ? I have 32G RAM on my laptop, but the game never consume more than... 1G. I did not check every time and I don't have enough metrics over time to be precise, but I do think RAM requirements are over estimated.
