Thought at first glance that this would be a silly little game to just share on stream with some friends. Within the first 10 minutes every last one of us was shouting to not advance the game until we were all present if anyone needed breaks! There is incredible depth and heart packed into every encounter in this short but fantastic point and click. The quirkiness and originality of its music, visual presentation, and characterization were extremely enjoyable and compelling. I can't say enough how vastly my expectations were exceeded! The fact that Snow Cone Serenade is free almost felt like a crime--this was a very heartwarming experience and I am so glad to have played it. Obtaining all achievements can be a little rough due to the skill checks, but on my first playthrough I loved the mechanics adding an element of randomness, and it adds a lot to the narrative. All of the scenes we saw were also very enjoyable, no matter what outcome we got. Having little nods towards optional outcomes from the early game was really fantastic, all the way into its end. Absolutely worth taking a couple of hours to play!
