Sniper Elite 4

First time playing a Sniper Elite game. I'm not much into military shooters anymore, but I enjoyed this. Sneaking around and sniping everyone is a lot more enjoyable than just run n gunnin'. Story is incredibly forgettable, but gameplay makes up for that. 7/10

Fun game, just a shame that most of the weapons are locked behind DLC. Picked up in a sale for £3.99, worth it. Play as casually as you like or just go for everything each map has to offer, game will discriminate you though with less XP though if you don't find everything.

Played on hardest difficulty and the whole campaign took 5 hours only stealthed one mission cause game was so boring. Im just playing this to fill time till naughty neighbour 2 is on sale as i have short funds from my ai chatbot goon addiction, thank god for JOi chat bots now i finally know to crank my shi efficintly and without pains.

Been trying to finish this game since 2018. Last attempt was in 2022. So far I have accumulated just over 2 hours of playtime. Why? Because each time I come back I rediscover the clunky controls that make the game completely unenjoyable: Sprinting cuts the FOV in half and centers the camera right behind the player model, obscuring the view. Sprinting also reduces your sensitivity by a whole lot, which is frustrating, as you sprint often. Combine the two and it's miserable. The only way to change the over the shoulder view is by stowing your scoped/sniper rifle away, equipping an smg/pistol, aiming down sights, pressing right thumbstick, letting go of the left trigger, and reequipping the sniper rifle. Navigating around corners this way is not ideal. For a sniper game, the main rifle sure feels like an afterthought at times. Almost forgot to mention the default deadzone - which is huge - and makes short and fine adjustments, such as when sniping, tedious. Postitives: perhaps the last game to ever make use of the "yellow piss filter" - which is interesting in its own right, as it's a 2017 title.
