More please ..... A Game about how to get from point A to point B. I loved it. Section 7 gave me trouble because the instruction for EXACTLY how & where to use the laser gun was lacking & or confusing, But thanks to someone in the community posting a Video with the solution to that Particular puzzle map. I was able to complete the game without further Help. Hats off & many thanks to them, Overall for me a FUN Game .... I am champing at the bit for the other worlds to this game to be added to my library!!
This game is so SMIB
A very interesting puzzle game with beautiful voxel art. It has simple and differentiated mechanics to program the path that the robot must follow. Very nice to play.
SMIB: Mission Cure is a lighthearted puzzle adventure developed and published by Virtual Arts Studio. Built around a unique programming-inspired gameplay system, the game tells the story of a small robot named SMIB who is sent on an interplanetary journey to find a cure for a strange problem affecting humanity: people have forgotten how to smile. While the premise is simple and whimsical, it provides a charming framework for a puzzle-focused experience that emphasizes logic, planning, and experimentation rather than action or fast reflexes. The game's defining feature is its command-based puzzle design. Instead of controlling the protagonist directly, players create sequences of instructions that SMIB follows automatically. Each stage becomes a test of foresight, requiring careful planning before execution. This approach gives the game a strategic feel, as every movement must be considered in advance. The mechanics are easy to understand at first, but later challenges gradually introduce additional layers of complexity that encourage players to think critically and adapt their strategies. Fans of puzzle games that reward patience and analytical thinking will likely appreciate the satisfaction that comes from solving increasingly intricate scenarios. Visually, the game adopts a colorful voxel-inspired style that complements its family-friendly atmosphere. The environments are bright and imaginative, featuring a variety of alien landscapes that help make the adventure feel larger than its relatively modest scope. SMIB himself is an appealing protagonist, with expressive animations and a design that gives the robot plenty of personality despite the absence of extensive dialogue. The visual presentation successfully creates an inviting world that feels approachable for younger audiences while remaining enjoyable for older players. The game's progression through different planets adds variety and helps prevent the puzzles from feeling repetitive. Each new location introduces environmental challenges and fresh obstacles that require players to rethink familiar mechanics. Rather than presenting puzzles as isolated levels, the game frames them as part of a broader mission, creating a sense of purpose behind every challenge. This narrative structure gives players a reason to continue exploring and discovering what awaits on the next world. An often-overlooked strength of SMIB: Mission Cure is its educational value. The command-based gameplay naturally encourages skills associated with programming and computational thinking. Players learn to break problems into manageable steps, predict outcomes, and refine solutions through trial and error. While the game never feels like an educational tool, it quietly teaches valuable problem-solving techniques through engaging gameplay. This makes it particularly appealing for younger players or anyone interested in logic-based challenges. The audio design further supports the experience with a relaxing soundtrack that matches the game's calm and thoughtful pace. The music creates a pleasant atmosphere during puzzle-solving sessions and helps maintain a sense of comfort even when players encounter more difficult challenges. Combined with the colorful presentation and optimistic tone, the soundtrack contributes to an experience that feels consistently welcoming. Despite its strengths, the game does have a few shortcomings. Certain puzzles may require repeated attempts before the correct solution becomes clear, which can occasionally disrupt the flow. Some players may also find that camera positioning and visibility issues make it harder to assess certain situations accurately. Additionally, while the core concept is creative, the overall content offering may feel somewhat limited compared to larger puzzle adventures. These issues do not overshadow the game's positive qualities, but they do prevent it from reaching the highest tier of the genre. Even with those limitations, SMIB: Mission Cure succeeds as an enjoyable and accessible puzzle adventure. Its blend of programming-inspired mechanics, charming visual style, and uplifting premise creates a memorable experience that stands out from more conventional puzzle games. The journey may not be particularly long or groundbreaking, but it consistently delivers satisfying challenges and a sense of accomplishment as players guide SMIB toward completing his important mission. For players seeking a relaxing puzzle game with a creative concept and an endearing protagonist, SMIB: Mission Cure is worth considering. It offers a rewarding balance of challenge and accessibility while presenting its ideas through a cheerful and imaginative world. Although it may not appeal to those looking for intense action or deep narrative complexity, it excels at providing thoughtful gameplay wrapped in a charming package. SMIB: Mission Cure is a clever and heartwarming puzzle adventure that combines logical problem-solving with an appealing presentation, delivering an experience that is both entertaining and quietly educational. Rating: 7/10
