simple. cute. fun with friends
Really fun community game with a great group of people behind it. I love popping in whenever and playing. It's also really exciting to be here at the beginning so I can watch what the devs have in store for the future.
Great game with cats and hats.
Fun. Easy to learn. Great for people to just join in. Can be done if you are streaming or not. Good game overall. I hope they create a difficulty for solo play where the enemies are reduced and/or the damage is reduced, because it can be difficult to get a large enough or experienced enough crew to play unless you get lucky when bigger streamers are playing the game openly. The level grind takes forever, and without a way to play alone or with just a first mate friend that is actually able to be completed start to finish (and better if 100% run), it is even harder. Part of the fun is getting to put your points where you want to and affect how you are useful in each game, but you can't do that if you attend 1 stream and only get around 3000-ish experience and then have to wait a week before another community stream you can attend.
Nice to Have~
"Slipstream: Rogue Space" is a completely garbage thematic ripoff of FTL only worse in so many ways. It's got furries, it's got pixelcrap "art" that looks even worse than FTL, but the worst thing of all is that this crap mobile app is one of those ones that you can't play unless you're simping for a Twitch streaming non-ebrity... so basically to play this what you do is stop playing the game that your Twitch follower is watching you playing and run this up instead so you can play with him, except he then unsubscribes because this is a great way to dump your Twitch following. What do you do in the game? It's like FTL but worse in every respect and is bolted onto garbage streaming platforms that will make this game unplayable when they finally go under and people go back to playing video games instead of watching other people play video games. This is a mobile app... it doesn't matter if this was ported to PC before or after the app store release, or even if this didn't even make it to the app stores. This is built for the absolutely lowest of all gaming platforms and must be judged as such... it's not going to give you a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. We don't spend thousands building gaming rigs so that we can pretend they're iPhones and play iPhone games and mobile apps. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Fun multiplayer game Highly recommend
