Does not require too much planning, so it is not frustratingly difficult. Movement is in steps which are just a little too slow, so I kept "overstepping" desired positions by holding the direction key for longer than necessary. There are 30 levels which consist of sections which can be reset, but progress is not tracked upon quitting (even the level itself has to be selected manually each time the game is started). Levels are relatively short, and the whole game took about two hours to play through, although, it has to be said, I am definitely not a puzzle-pro. Could recommend to a player who is unfamiliar with the sokoban-style puzzles.

O jogo retorna aos bons tempos dos 8 bits, com puzzles desafiantes e nostalgicos. Uma boa pedida pra quem quer retornar aos velhos tempos. Crítica quanto aos efeitos sonoros muito altos.

Slap the Rocks is one of the more interesting games I picked up in the Steam Sokoban-fest. The mechanics are sound, and there are some quite interesting ideas in the level design. Unfortunately, these ideas rarely combine into great puzzles, I often had the feeling that the dev / creator of the puzzles was having something on his mind and tried to implement it, but ran out of ideas / cohesion midway through, and eventually gave up on iterating the level in question further. Levels 21-30 especially have this feel about them. Also the controls and the presentation of the game are pretty raw, but that can be forgiven if the gameplay is good. This seems to be the first game of the developer, and it's quite cheap, so give it a shot if Sokoban-likes are your thing :)

I feel a bit bad not recommending this game since its only $2 and the game plays fine. I just didn't find myself having to think very hard about any of the puzzles. Also, a few levels just make you start over if you choose the wrong thing, which isn't challenging so much as frustrating. I finished all puzzles in a half hour.
