Ok, there's actually 2 pieces of media here - game and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ novel. I like the game and don't really care for the "book". I'd say yes with 50% off basic US price tag. Game is pretty basic - you can walk\run you can shoot, you can activate switches\terminals\med stations. And that's pretty much all. No jumping, no crouching, no keycards, nothing else (at least for first 2 hours). Visuals are good, even tho environment looks a little bit sterile - too clean, too empty. And levels itself basic. Enemies looks good and pretty recognizable one from another (so far 5 types of enemies). Weapon sprites looks good (even tho I'm not a fan of centered weapon positions) and reload animations looks even better. Movement works, but in a little weird way - you walking speed gets faster the more you move and drops to basic when you open fire, but not when you stop. You can't manually switch from walking to running\sprinting. There's very little gravity when you fall and I don't really know if it's intentional or not (maybe there was some kind of "dialogue" about that but I missed it). Shooting is solid. Two very minor complains is I wish there's more sound punch to rifle and some visuals to spears AOE. Music overall good, but little repetitive on few levels. Story is... Well. Probably it's there and maybe it's even good. But my god, there is so MUCH TEXT. It's discouraging to read through it and really breaks the pacing. Overall I glad I stumbled upon this game and hope there'll be more games from this dev, but maybe with less reading.

This game is not bad, more like underbaked. It does have the bones for a good Marathon clone, it just needs more time in the oven, bug fixing, playtesting, etc. If the dev(s) do fix the major issues (shotgun breaking, weird move acceleration instead of a stable speed, no interaction icons) then I would recommend this as a classic little sci-fi shooter.
yeeah. it is a marathon homage, with all the limitations and quirky infoscreen text.
