Sid Meier's Civilization® V

this game is incredibly fun, superior to 6 in my opinion (have not played 7 as of yet), you can play one game for a hundred hours or 8 depending on settings and how you play. With world domination and science victories being the easiest to get and diplomatic and religious being much harder it is not super balanced in terms of ways to win but very fun with a variety of offered play styles. I do recommend getting the game and it's expansions on sale which it goes for less than $6 CAD frequently to get the full experience (they add features such as religion, more civilizations, more comprehensive trade, diplomatic and military options, etc.) this game can be a bit addictive but scenarios and achievement grinding also provide a bit of flourish past the sandbox style of the main game. (Also vast workshop support for all your favourite fantasy civ's hail Mordor am I right?)

Start on random Germany is selected England is right next to me England tells me to stop claiming land I don't stop England stations all their troops on my border Queen Elizabeth says my troops will make a fine addition to her empire I kick her sorry ahh back to York She has one city left Arabia gets jealous because im building too many cool things that they wanted to build first I tell Harun Al-Rashid to get over it He declares war on me I defend my territory flawlessly I discover America Me and George Washington become best bros I discover Egypt Me and Rameses also become best bros I discover Persia Me and Darius are chill Darius wipes George off the planet I denounce Darius Rameses also denounces Darius Darius destroys Rameses All my allies gone Everyone who is left alive hates me I discover flight Only one option left Total military domination Fun game Catherine the great is bad

Its a great game if you want something challenging but turn-based. You can create any scenario and play it out until your butt hurts,
